  1. Valve stem and stops were right in the center...the spoke and rim were "rust-welded" together!
  2. They were rusted solid! On the pass side only...I have seen a picture of that truck in a machine shed...maybe that side was close to the weather?!?
  3. Success! A little pressure from the back, a little hammer action, it moved ever so slightly, rotate 180 degrees, pressure, bang bang, it moved some more...about 4 more go arounds and viola! It's off... Same thing on the right rear! Tried to true it, inside wont budge, grabbed the porta power, it came off on the first try... Going to clean everything up, get new nuts and studs, and line them up...the tire place pulled the threads right out of two of the nuts with those big ass impacts! My neighbors must LOVE me!
  4. Tried again tonite...brought home a big sledge, could only beat on the tire...with the airride, I cannot get close to hitting it on the back side! Drove it back and forth a little, even spun the tire with no wedges, spacer, etc! Plenty of PB...No luck...will borrow a porta power from work, give it a shot...The PB blaster seems to be soaking in all around each spoke, don't know what is holding it on!
  5. Ask and you shall receive...
  6. Thanks Mike! The left tank is pretty dented up, patche welded in, rings added where the straps go...dont know if its worth shining up!
  7. I only used the 1" impact to loosen! (I bought it for the front wheels and for other BIG stubborn bolts to loosen!) I always use a ratchet and socket to get 'em straight! Then the 1/2" impact and tighten them the same! I thought about rocking back and forth with it on the ground, but figured it would slip and shear off the valve stem! I will get a big Sledge from work and get it, or a porta power and some hammer work! Thanks for all the tips! I could kick myself in the A$$ for not waiting on the Yokohamas and changing only one end at a time!!!! It might be those new Kellys on the front that are causing the problem!
  8. Picked the set with the most wobble to "true" myself...worked an our or so and couldnt get them true...realized the inner wheel was stuck! A can of PB Blaster, my biggest hammer, crow bars, even dropped the jack fast to the ground several times, didnt budge...will get a big sledgehammer from work and give it another go...I know the daytons on the rear are the classic East Coast look, but I HATE EM!
  9. She has new skins on the front and new powder coated wheels out back...
  10. Where is that! I need that fuel tank!
  11. Superdog weighs 16800...the original GVWR is 50,000...12K front, 38K rear...you are thinking of the GCVWR (C is for combination), which is 80000... The person at the "Messenger service" asked me what the GVWR was, I told her I didn't know (I did not at the time), she aked what the truck weighed, I told her 16800...I dont know how she came up with 21600, but I was Okay with that... Guess I have to find a "weigh" to my license upgraded pronto! I have read horror stories on what test they give for a non comercial class A license, most examiners (I have read about this on the RV forums) have never heard of a non comercial class A....I would be happy to get my Class A CDL, but dont know if I can back a trailer to pass the driving test, I think I am good on all the rest, and there is no one I know in the area to practice with!
  12. FIrst thing this morning, off to Service Truck Tire Center in Milton to get new outer wheels and spacers, and new Yokohama's for the front.... Sold out of the Yokohama that I wanted...substituted Kelly KLS...did a quick web search and didnt find anything negative, said it would be a couple of weeks till he could get the Yoko's...WTH I figured why not... Anyway, they took my 83mph smooth running cadillac and turned it into a bucking shaking monster! I watched them put the rears back on and they didnt give a lot of effort aliging them, I figured they knew what they were doing...WRONG...took it back, they spent another hour on it and it is still undriveable above 50 mph....gonna let some air out of the rears to see if that makes an improvement...I AM PISSED! Coming back thru town a city cop tails me all the way thru town, then lights me up less than a mile from home...says he pulled me over because of no DOT numbers on the truck, I explain this is a classic truck and has no DOT numbers...he grills me on what I use the truck for...then takes the registration and goes back to his car for a few minutes...he comes back (to the drivers side this time) and asks me to open my door...he is looking around for a weight registration plate...I tell him I dont know where it might be, we walk around to the other side and look in the that door jamb...nothing...he asks me if I have done any work and maybe removed the weight sticker...I say no...he explains that I need a class B non comercial license, even though, he says (he is still holding the registration) the truck is registered at 21600...he tells me that even people that drive heavy RV's need a class B or A non commercial license...then tells me I can go, and to have a nice day...
  13. Yeah, if he wants to take the wheel off it it goes to the bad place.....Thanks
  14. Not a need, a WANT! A DESIRE! A LONGING! Hold on......sorry, I got wrapped up for a minute...
  15. If somebody buys it, I'll give $75 for the steering wheel!!!
  16. Got 'em rubbed...going in the hickory smoke for three hours....wrapped in foil with apple juice for two hours...on the grill basted with sauce for an hour!
  17. Getting some go-go juice and some macho dogs came around...good looking trucks!
  18. A great looking truck for sure!
  19. Sounds like Matt Pfhal's B...look in the gallery...
  20. This girl was raised on a farm...
  21. I think you just answered a question I was going to post...are there nut-serts or any such thing in the roof for the air horn bolts or do you have to take the headliner out? Thanks
  22. Are you a "Pole Sniffer"?
  23. I knew where I was going and had the trip planned....where it told me to turn was a blue line for a river, I mistook it for my previous path (coming down)!!! I picked up the redhead (I called her the contortionist), you can read our story on PlayMateTrueStories.com!
