  1. Thanks Vin! It was exciting after "going" to many of the shows, to actually drive a Mack to the show! You will feel that when you drive the U to the first show...
  2. ...AND...He didnt look anything like Dale!!!
  3. Here we are in all our glory!...Hard to get 30 _____________ (insert your own derogatory noun here) to look in the same direction!
  4. Did you check to see if you have the brackets? If so, private message a picture or two and a price... Thanks
  5. I need a pair of exhaust brackets for dual exhaust, 95 gal fuel tank, a condensor (grill) for a SuperLiner
  6. Spent last week at Ohio Bike Week! Daughter is home from School, taking her camping Wed and Thursday...will only have one day to get the truck ready...not much chrome, may not even be waxed....gonna look like doo-doo next them other SuperDogs...but one day, hey, all of our trucks started life as working trucks right?
  7. Here is one to keep the thread going...just saying...
  8. My opinion is that is just a naming convention based on one brake being pulled tighter and the other pulled away from the drum, no difference in the shoes themselves...
  9. You mean NED Beatty...Warren doesnt squeel!
  10. Without me there, should be plenty of extra food!
  11. Installled new cabmounts, now to fix the slight lean in the hood, picked up some new bushings from the Mack dealer... What a ridiculously difficult job changing the bushings! I think I cussed less changing the B model king pins! Unless I just did it completely wrong, there is no way to get to the bolt head and nut from the same side! I dont know how this job is supposed to be done, but there must be a better way! Bolts and nuts were SO difficult to get apart, the 1/2" Impact just laughed at me...finally got one loose, broke the other bolt (had a big cheater bar on a wrench)... I thought taking the bumper off would help....it did not! I don't know why this SOB would rather break in two, than let the nut come off! Had to jack the hood to each side to get the bushings out...had to be on all sides at once to make sure I didnt let it bind up! Figured out to tighten them, bury the wrench behind the hood, lower the hood and tighten the nut from the outside, worked pretty good... All beautiful again, hood sittling level, cab sitting level...time for a ride!!!
  12. I dont know, you posted an article about why Detroit Diesels are superior to all others?!?
  13. What is a good product to fill the normal rust pits before painting your frame? Always wondered what people use to get that smooth frame look... Thanks Leslie

  18. Anyone recognize the logo/know the brand on these two aluminum toolboxes? I can figure out what brand they are, it isnt one of the "top" three (merrit, Protech, Highway products)...I like the angle box on top, trying to find one.... Thanks
  19. These??? Were there supposed to be some pictures?
  20. On my Superliner, the rear air system always has 5-10lbs more pressure than the front (green needle always higher)...through various tests, I believe the gauge is accurate. This truck has a lot more complicated system than the B and I do not fully understand all of it... Is this a problem that can be tracked to one of the check valves or something between the systems? Some other valve that is hung up or something? Thanks Leslie
  21. The oil analysis tells you if your engine/transmission/rears are making metal and how much and even what type, eg..bearing metal, gear metal, etc...alerts you to problems before they become expensive problems
  22. Bent that way to clear the mount...
  23. Hood alignment not perfect, cab sagging slightly...figure it is time to put new cab mounts on....at less than 10 bucks each I can't go wrong... Yeah, I'd say they were worn a little bit...fought with it trying to roll it out, then, spread and roll the new one in... While trying to spread the second one and roll it around from the bottom it hit me like a ton of bricks!!! THIS is why the cab mount ends are shaped this way!!! Alway's wondered, really just have to push them on and viola!!! Another one for the tips and tricks manual!
  24. Caught this one at our plant picking up a load of Sheetrock...good looking truck...saw him a couple of days later on I-80...THEN, saw him tonight bob-tailing on the backroads!
