  1. I remember watching the Snake River jump on TV! Lots and lots of hype...soon as he blasted off the chute was coming out...that was the big controversy! Did he pull the chute or was it a malfunction!
  2. I have all the right tools, they make it look easy on Youtube!!! What am I doing wrong? Is it because I didnt get all of the aluminum oxide off of the wheel before I tried to polish? Is the black stuff excess polishing compound? Should I start with a chemical wash? Sand it off? It looks worse now than before I started!
  3. It is probably the low reduction air shift for low gear...
  4. Replaced the filters yesterday...no dice! Used the "Rob method" pumping air into the fuel tank...got fuel to the pump...no start....a three foot section of hose (to the supply pump) would not pick up out of a fuel can filled with fuel...pump must be dead...
  5. 4600 miles, almost 660 gallons of fuel, that's almost $3K in fuel! Would do it for you but I cant afford it!!!
  6. Thanks...I may do that just for good measure...it has died on my twice, just lucky I was in the driveway both times and not on the road! You don't have a part number do you?
  7. I feel your pain!
  8. I try to get 30 or 40 miles a day! A mix of backroads and highway...More on the weekends! This thing is cool! I need a trailer now! Anyone wanna teach me to pull a trailer?!?
  9. Don't know why someone with a working truck would not fix something as simple as a thermocouple! Tie wrap the old one out of the way and put a steel pipe plug in! WTF? I used everything in my arsenal to round the head off of the pipe plug! Had to saw it off flush to try and get it drilled out...got it drilled well enough to chisel it out...was able to chase the threads clean and move forward! The gauge works like a champ!
  10. Well..the weather was so nice this afternoon I put some attention back to the B model's fuel issue...the local place is out of the primary filter I need...so...I rigged up a gravity flow into the supply pump, she started right up (after enough cranking the get the injectors and lines full)...so my guess now is that the primary filter must be plugged, and/or the pump is kinda weak...anywho, if the weather holds, i'll go get a Mack filter and give her a shot...
  11. That is the one Greg (Underdog) used to have...He told me he was thinking about selling it last year, never heard if he did or not...
  12. Valve on the far right is the reverse high low valve. Valve on the bottom is for the front compound Reference my post above to see how the valve on the far right is plumbed The front compund is plumbed similarly to the reverse from the dash switch The valves are inversion valves, they close the delivery port when the control port has air. The other port is supply.
  13. Here you go...
  14. You can sell me the 864! Now that I have the Superliner to satisfy my daily needs, I can take all the time I need and restore the 615!!!
  15. I guess I got my answer!!!!! Will look at the BFGoodrich or Yokahama.. Thanks for all the comments
  16. Only illegal on a bus or greater than 4650 #s from what I've read...
  17. I know there is a stigma against running retreads on steer axles over the road...but what about our hobby trucks? Does anyone run retreads on the front? I have heard good things about Michelin retreads...I can get Michelin XZA retreads on Michelin casings for $289 in 11R24.5...that is compared to the least expensive new tire I could find, a Yokahama RY617 for $455... Thoughts and opinions are welcome!
  18. Came from Mack that way!
  19. It inserts a space WITHOUT a break (new line)! You need to build a few web pages from scratch...you would have a blast! You could build a motorboating website!
  20. Doug...what is the email address...I'll send a pict of my '89 model
  21. Unknown on the age! They may be 40 years old! Will chekc that if the valve/new filters doesnt fix it...
