  8. I think I understand...so the length from the back of the snout trunnion to the block is the same between the first picture and the second...the later models added length to the crank bushing which pushed the pulley assembly forward? Shape of the motor mount "ears" is further forward on the first picture because the later trucks had a longer underhood length? Thanks
  9. I dont have a pulley problem...I have a motor mount problem! Thats why I want to see other style of motor mounts to figure out why mine is different and if there is anything I can do to fix it!
  10. Successfully purchased two new (to me) Mack Parts manuals....one a 1975 RS685LST, the other a 1978 DM686SX to go along with my '57 B53S and '69 DM685SX manuals... The two new ones are complete. but DO NOT have a picture of the front motor mount?!? Don't understand the mystery! Would like to see some different parts drawings of the front motor mount because mine only has room to fit a single pulley, and wanted to see some others...I have a picture of a 675 engine like mine that has room for a three belt pulley!
  11. I changed to the real "F" word and have been telling that joke all day!!!
  12. Here is a screen shot of what you should see... Click the choose files button, a window pops up to let you select a file from your computer Click Open... Two things might prevent it, if the picture is to large, or the files size too big! Otherwise it should work... Once it is uploaded, click the add to post click Add Reply button and viola!

  20. Looking for a couple of part numebrs, maybe someone can help... I am putting a new (DM, R Style) battery box on my truck...currrently there is a homemade box that is part of the air tank mount... What I am looking for are the airtank brackets that bolt to the frame and support the air tank...they look like angle iron with one leg cut down. Also, looking for numbers for the spacers for the battery box that spaces it off of the frame to make room for the above mentioned brackets. If I still had my lathe, I could make them in about ten minutes, but I do not.. Thanks
  21. Instead of waiting around wondering who would be first, Ill take the challenge...
