I was typing another funny one, had to blot out most the letters in a few of the words, then remembered recent events and decided to keep it to myself!

You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, just dont pick your friend's nose!
  4. You don't always need ALL of them gears do ya?!?
  5. Did your old one have three air lines to it, or only two?
  6. The drives tires had some miles on them...but looking at the videos I shot, the rear is not bouncing at all! Whatch this video of the front...as soon as I hit 44 mph, the bounce comes, and as soon as I get above or below that speed, the bounce stops! I will get a better video of the front the next nice day!
  7. That is where the air comes out when you release the brakes...
  8. Sure do LOVE the size of your shop....I have been working on stuff either outside or in a cramped garage my whole life! Finally I am going to build...only a 24 X 40 X14..but it is all that I have room for!
  9. Tires (front) are brand new, it did the same thing with the old tires. Steers were balanced at the mack dealer, though at a much higher speed than the bounce occurs. Thanks
  10. I took two 8 foot 2 x 8's and cut into 1 foot pcs for my timbers!
  11. Never checked them...The last time I greased them, they did not appear worn at first glance...but once I get situated, I will jack the front up by the frame and check them...
  12. I noticed that too! It was a very light application...If I give a full brake application, they all move...probably the quick release valve needs cleaned out...I have lots of oil to make my air slipprier!
  13. Only to get it rolling or pulling up to the stop sign! I think it is more difficult to double clutch it...If you match the road speed to engine speed for the gear you want, it goes right in! Sometimes when I luck out and the stars are aligned it sucks the stick outta my hand to go into gear!
  14. Also when you change to the TP-3, you should change the "flipper" style control valve to a new PP-3 or 7 to maintain the automatic safety logic...
  15. Mine lays on the intake also and pulses a little bit....I better get it tied up or protected!
  16. Lazing on a Saturday Afternoon....
  17. The "shocks" are MIA...I am still unsure how an out of balance wheel/drum...cound be the cause of all my woes but the video doesnt lie! Plus, it is only one side, as the speed is completely repeatable and even has a "harmonic", and if it were both wheels the speeds would have to change as they came in and out of phase with each other... I just thought the video was cool...I like seeing the mechanical things that make em move!
  18. A minute and a half under my truck! http://youtu.be/9j822LpeVj0
  19. In past projects I have bought these and pulled the stud and wire out of it for use in the stock socket... http://www.repairconnector.com/
  20. If I were ever to build a diesel pickup...it would be like this one...this is one of the coolest things I have seen! Super Bad! Here is another...he has a few on youtube...
  21. Balanced at the Mack Dealer! It only does it at 22 mph and 44 mph...no trace at other speeds! New king pins...wheel bearings tight...Everything that rotates on the front is new with the exception of wheel hubs and brake drums...
  22. Well it is definitely the front causing the issue! Don't know which side yet, but it looks like I will be buying replacement drums! Video looking at the rears is smooth with no bounce at all! Will try to get a cleaner video, but the first bounce starts at about 20 seconds in and ends abruptly at about 2:32...
  23. I have a B-615 and a 6 cylinder 675...I have only a single pulley as shown in the picture...I do not under stand how a double pulley would fit behind the balancer. There is no clearance between the pulley and the engine mount to the rear, and the hub only sticks out past the balancer slightly. A double belt pulley would still have a thin hub, which means the second pulley would be "behind" the first pulley....doesnt make any sense from what I can see...can someone explain or post a pic or two of a "normal" setup. I know the bigger radiator is probably the reson that there is no room to move the balancer forward, but I still do not see how a double belt pulley can fit when there is no room between the engine mount and the balancer. Thanks
  24. Thought I had to change rear end ratios to get a better top end...but have been looking at the quad gear ratios...They will do what I need! Just gotta sort throught the differnet models of quadraplex trannys to figure out exactly what I need, then find one for sale! Right now my TRTL is 4-L 1.92 4-D 1.62 4-H 1.38 5-L 1.18 5-D 1.00 5-H 0.85 Which gives me about 57 mph top end...with a double overdrive Quad (dont know the model) 18 spd... 4-L 1.20 4-D 1.00 4-H 5-L 5-D 0.84 5-H 0.70 This would extend the top end to 68 mph...which may be plenty...but...I have a sheet that says the TRQ720 (which looks like a 19 speed?!?) has three overdrive ratios as follows and woiuld give 72 mph top end 4-L 1.18 4-D 1.00 4-H 0.85 5-L 0.92 5-D 0.78 5-H 0.66 Anybody have any opinions? (loaded question!) Thanks
