  1. Maybe that logging bed is work $8000!
  2. I got one guy at work that recycles batteries, has a cute little box on his desk for AAA, D cells, etc...Has a fit when he sees batteries on the garbage. One of these days he is gonna come into work and find a Group 31 on top of his pile...we'll see how he acts then!
  3. Thats what I tell them recycling clowns at work!
  4. I feel your pain, in protest, I'm gonna dump some engine oil into the ditch across the street!
  5. " Call for details. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! Call Bull @ 336-240-3638" Yeah, I'm gonna "call BULL" on this one!
  6. Its been raining like a m*therf*cker in central PA for the last three days, anyone know how the show field is faring?
  7. More good tidbits of information to store away like a rabid squirrel!
  8. Youre right! It makes the rest of the glass look bad! I keep looking out the passenger side and think the glass is missing!
  9. The way my frame doubles just under the cab, with the "second" frame on the outside of the frame the splays and runs forward, I must assume (you know what that means!) that a double frame is wider than a single frame, so my question is, was there a seperate trunnion stand (cast) for single and double frames? I understand all of the frame interior parts would be the same, but what about the things that mount on the outside?
  10. Besides Kevin's place in NY, and Cohen's, are there any salvage yards near central PA (two or threee hour drive) that have a lots of Macks and Mack stuff (60's-80's)? The Mack dealer in Milton told me about a place (salvage yard) south of Selinsgrove that specialized in Macks...said he used to see the ad in trucking/truck news (correct name?) magazine/paper? Thanks in advance
  11. I can't remember from last year (my first), is there a seperate camping area? I'll prolly sleep in my pickup Friday night...Hopefully If I arrive before 5pm on Friday, I'll get to park close! (my knees only allow so much walking!)
  12. Don't mean to steal the thread, but does anyone make a rebuild kit for the compressors for those daring amoung us?
  13. With friends like you, who needs enema's! I prolly couldnt afford the frieght from IL to PA!
  14. Okay, let me ask a better question...I have 8 drives to purchase and I am on a budget, which are the best "budget" (under about $450)...pure hobby truck
  15. Anyone have any experience or opinions on Cooper tires? Looking at the Cooper RM 275's for the drive axle...
  16. I wonder how many B Models out there with a working throttle...Mine has a nice knob but the housing is gone...think I could buy a modern cable and rig something up to work...anyone done this?
  17. Let the ol' lady do it! There is a longer video that shows the shell and how to load it...just go to youtube and search "shotgun shell tractor start"
  18. Thanks Trenton!
  19. Looks right to me! Maybe in Oz they are up side down (coriolis effect!)
  20. The lever that comes through the frame is a little higher than the the lever attached to the slack adjuster, and the rods inside the frame are slotted to allow the service brakes to actuate. The parking brake "pulls" on the slack adjuster for parking. With this setup, compressing the suspension would only move the lever forward in the slot, and not "pull" on the slack adjuster.
  21. Yes, I have the frame mounted spring brakes...AND was thinking I have never seen a truck in person with this setup (left the factory this way according to my build sheet), and that makes mine unique! The main reason I wanted to change things was the there is a metal dust cover or something on each can that is all bent up...I may take them off and see if I can remove it, it looks like it made of sheet metal...the brakes do a good job and no leaks. One of the spring brakes gurgles a little when the brake is released (lots of oil in my air!) May end up leaving the original system in place...looking closer, it looks like 3 of the 4 spiders are bent, dont know how they could have gotten bent, but they are definitely not perpindicular to the axles...
  22. I always heard the best way was to set your pubes on fire, and when the crabs run out, stab them with an ice pick!
  23. Thanks! The quest begins...
  24. By spiders, you mean the s-cam and brake shoe mount? Thanks...I wonder if all of the SWD axle housings would be the same bolt pattern on the end of the axle housing...
