  1. This one has the concave cab, but does not have the big engine doghouse? Never seen one like that!
  2. Interior of the Brockway. I like the Vise Grip brand fuel cutoff Cash Cab, Huh? WTF?!?!?!? Interesting...there were four of these KW's in attendance
  3. Went to a small local show...mostly pete's and kw's but a few choice Mack's were there...
  4. I am smoking her butt, I mean smoking her a pork butt today...mixture of pecan and hickory...'bout another two hours and we will be in pulled pork heaven!
  5. "Momma" didnt want to cook...she offered to buy Burger King (her tastes and requirements are very simple, probably why she keeps me around) ...who am I to argue! That was Friday! For our 23rd anniversary, I took her to a nice restaurant (got home in time to watch the race), she rewarded me this morning!
  6. Maybe the knot hole is for his unit!
  7. Whenever I am not doing something specifically for her, I keep my steel jockey's on, held tight by a classic master combination lock, and she does NOT have the combination!
  8. Bought a new puller, cheapo (all I could get today and worth a try), thought I would break it...and viola! Success! Now on the next issue, the top of the spindle has the needle bearings, I dont think my Kaiser Qwick kit is going to work! Anyhow, finishing up for today...it is our wedding anniversary, gotta take "momma" out to dinner...
  9. Once side is cooking much faster than the other!?! Coriolis effect? I would take it back...
  10. ...Speaking of Craftsman tools...(in anouther forum)... probably my fault becaue it is not the right tool for the job...got the cotter pin out in several peices...thought I was making progress! Busted my puller tryuing to get the joint separated...spindle not off yet...
  11. From central Pennsylvania! That'd be quite a road trip!
  12. Rob, with all of your other great equipment, I would of thought you owned a truck mounted blaster! You could probably sneak a portable blaster passed "Momma" and she would have not have to "know" anything about it! Leslie
  13. How much for the doors? Left and Right...really all I need is the glass and vent windows....but would take the whole doors Can you take some photos of the fifth wheel and mount? Also some pics of the brake actuators... Thanks Leslie
  14. Was sitting in Burger King (don't ask!) and saw a car hauler with all kinds of classic cars, then behind him, an Orange B model with integral sleeper! Then, behind him, another orange B model! The second one had the window on the sides of the sleeper. Both were short wheelbase, nice new chrome etc....they were gone before I could get my camera out! I think there is a small truck show here locally (maybe Watsontown, PA)...If so, I WILL get some photos! Leslie
  15. Got close! Didn't work THAT hard at it today, but I am within a cotter key of getting one side off...king pin came loose easily, thought backing plate would be a pain but it wasn't....this cotter pin may be a different story...the round end of the pin and the slot in the nut are one with rust, I cant get anything in there to grab it...been spraying with pentrant and tapping lightly...will come up with a new plan tomorrow...
  16. Any issues or cautions when separating the wheel from the drum? Would like to paint each a different color....I would mark the drum so it will go back on exactly as it came off...wondering if there are any balance or other issues... Thanks Leslie
  17. Got lucky on the left side...the wear ring is smooth and shiny...bearings look and feel good also... Only problems so far (I havent got the backing plate off yet!) the rear brake shoe is frozen to the adjuster and hasn't moved in a while (the front brakes were disconnected when I got the truck, first thing I did was hook them)
  18. I beleive that one is stretched to such a point that flatulence on her part might create a natural harmonic in the surrounding fabric making it all turn to fabric dust! Don't wanna be near that one!
  19. Probably what happened was as the fuse began to burn his testicles, he inadvertantly "clenched up" his bung hole, resulting in the non release of the rocket once the main engines fired, otherwise, it might have been more succesful.
  20. Wowwie! It looks like she could straddle the hood of my truck no problem! Reminds me of the "2 by 4" joke"...
  21. Thanks for the information...this outghta get me going! Wow! THey are proud of those back buddy's ($1300) I believe I can make an adapter for my MC jack that will work... My plan is to take the time to blast and paint all of the parts including the wheels... I'll take plenty of pics... Thanks Again...
  22. Going to start changing the king pins on my truck this weekend...had a few questions... I have two service manuals and neither one show a schematic or view of S cam style brakes... Are the shoes attached to the backing plate in a similar manner as automotive brakes? That is, springs and clips? Are they bolted? Anyone have any pictures/diagrams of the brake shoes? Do I unbolt the wheel from the drum THEN remove the wheel then the drum, then the brake? Take off the drum and wheel together? How much (aprox) do the wheel and drum weigh? Also, I have the oil bath type bearings...are the seals going to be something I can find easily? If I am careful, can I get the hub off without damaging them? Are there any other things I should watch for/be aware of?
  23. Looking for info on this type of seat...brand? model? Is it an air seat or spring? Mack only or many other trucks... I think I could shorten the bottom frame and make it work for my truck...If I could find one! Thanks
  24. Tidbit...After they broke up Standard Oil in the early teens, there were seven or eight compaines that used the name Standard Oil...Standard of New Jersey was the most succesful and bought up rights in several states, in the early forties they marketed this under the Esso brand. Esso is the phonetic for Standard Oil, "ess" "o" the first letters of Standard Oil..
