  1. Yes, just to clarify, I want to change the split rims to one piece, keeping the dayton spokes...after looking at the photos, I understand now, the rim is not thicker, the rim side wall is taller... Thanks All...
  2. I am a little thick sometimes, just wanna be sure...a 24 inch rim will fit the 22 in dayton wheel I have? Is the rim that much thicker?
  3. Thanks...I guess I am going to look for a couple of used tubeless 24.5's!
  4. Do you mean that the 22 inch I have now would require a 24.4 inch rim to go tubeless? But If I stay with a tube tire, they have 22 one piece wheels? I assume Dayton is the spoke type? Thanks
  5. I am looking for 1 piece front wheels to replace my old style with the rings...What is the correct terminology and are all 22 inch one piece wheels the same (as long as the width is the same)?
  6. All of my the mounts for the brake actuators appears bent, with the rear of the actuator toward the brake drum, are these bent or are they made that way?
  7. Thanks, I did some research and found Truck-Lite now manufactures the old Signal-stat switches, I have a chrome seven wire coming my way...
  8. Sorry! I missed the whole fire engine thing...I was so happy that I had an answer to a question I must have missed that one!
  9. Depends on the model, I have B61 literature the says a single axle weighs 9500#s...my tandem axle 65 B615 weighs around 13500#'s
  10. I can see your brake light switch! Havent found mine yet!
  11. Can someone post a picture of thiers? Looks like mine is MIA...I do appreciate the time it must have taken to pull those wires through a green garden hose! I will purchase an equivelent juntion block and rewire correctly... Thanks
  12. In looking at the B model wiring diagram, the turn signals are separate lights...I have the Deluxe push button turn signal switch. Is there a way to wire the brake and turn signals to light one lamp? So that the signal will still flash with the brakes applied? Thanks
  13. On my truck, the junction block in the dashboard is behind the little screw in plate. I have a maintenance manual an it looks like the circuit breakers are supposed to be toward the interior of the cab (so you can see them!) Are these supposed to face where you can actually see them? Also, can someone give me the location of the drivers side jucntion block, the one that has (among other things) the taillight wires? Is it in the frame frarailse under the cab, in the cab, or where? Thanks Leslie
  14. Found 'em...Do they give anyone a cluse as to what the weight rating or ratio might be? Thanks
  15. The bowls are covered in grease, are the numbers at the "south pole" (bottom) or the front, back, or sides on the upper part of the bowl? Maybe I can get lucky and scrape off only a few pounds of sludge! Thanks
  16. Is this the spacer?!? I sure can't get it from the top?!? I will try again tomorrow from the bottom...the journey continues!
  17. That pesky job (read as monetary support for my new Mack project) of mine keeps me away till almost dark every night...here are a couple though...more to come.
  18. Partial success! Having the RPMS at 2100 before trying to shift made all the difference in the world. I successfully made the shift from 3rd hi to 4th lo, and 4th hi to 5th lo! Still had to stop a couple of times and start over, downshifting was only successful a few times... It really shows the skills a trucker had to have hauling freight up and down mountains!
  19. hmmmmmmmmm........I could do the art, output a separation, or even better, output a screen, and maybe a trophy shop could produce it!
  20. Anybody want to swap a triplex plate for a quad? Here is what I have...
  21. Does anyone have any experiance with these? Are they worth the price? Mack Manuals
  22. Thanks All...Dont know what I would be doing without all of the help...looking forward to the first time I can help answer someone else's questions...
  23. Found it! Right where it is supposed to be! Can someone point me to the transmission (TRT72) and rear end (38K tandems, I am told) serial numbers? I will send all these numbers off to the museum with a donation!
  24. Some kind of heavy duty bumper mount...there is some structure with pivot point around the front axle...It looks like the truck may have had a snow plow at one time...
