  1. My brother and I decided to see if we could get the B73 started today. I didn't know if the dipstick was correct or not so we changed the oil. 7 gallond hit the low mark just right, 9 was just a little over the high mark. I haven't done any rewiring since I put the 12v starter in so we decided to pull it around. I ran a jumper wire from the battery to the fuel shut off soleniod. Let me interject here that I am fairly good with vehicle electronics and my brother was a diesel tech at a ford dealer. This positive ground thing makes me feel like a total idiot. I would test the jumper with my multimeter and would have power until I hooked it up the the soleniod, then it would drop to nothing. I'm going insane. We already had the blade running and hooked up, so we decided to tug it around and see what happened. We weren't geting any fuel, but the engine spun over great and made 95 psi oil pressure. Any ideas on why it would drop the power like that?
  2. I'm a surveyor at the gold mines. I get to drive our 16 g and h's quite often. Our mine down the road has 4 24g's. When I was helping them out a few years ago I was supposed to get to spend an hour or two in one of them. It never worked out though. We were going to by one of our own last year but they decided they could by two 16m's for less than one 24. Maybe someday I will get behind the wheel of one. It is pretty amazing to see how fast the edge of the molebord moves when they swing the circle. Ben

  4. By the time you got from Vegas to our neck of Nevada you could cross four or five east coast states!
  5. I think I'm moving to Canada!
  6. CBS is showing Mitt with 1.5 million more in the popular, but Shithead with 274 electoral. What a fucked up system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Its to bad you're not on this side of the pond. Jumper and Son would be your biggest fans with that Driptroit in there! Ben
  8. We have a form of EOBR's in our 3/4 ton pick ups at the mine I work at. They yell "check your speed" if you are going to mph over the speed limit and will record a speeding "event" if it warns you three times. They also record agressive driving events for accelerating too fast, braking too hard, or turning too sharp. It has been used to fire a guy who was going 90 in a 55 and 60 in a 35 with some sharp S turns. It was a pain in the ass to begin with, but I have become beat down and no longer worry to much about it. Ben
  9. Wasn't JT looking for something to make a rolloff out of? That B53 in the second link has a mile of frame behind the cab. Ben
  10. Glad to see there is no storm damage.
  11. Welcome aboard. One thing that you'll learn quickly is that we like pictures. If you have vehicles already we would love to see them! Ben
  12. Vinnie, did you have time to park the truck with the drivers side into the wind?
  13. Have you been to Austin? It wouldn't have taken a very big engine. Ben

  17. I never thought of that happening. My wife is a high school cheerleading coach, so my kids are exposed to teenage drama on a daily basis. My oldest daughter is 5 going on 17. I can only imagine what its going to be like in 10 to 12 years when all three are in there drama years. With any luck I'll have my shop done and me and the boy can live down there. Ben
  18. Welcome to the site. I love all the models on your site. I wish I had the patience for that kinda stuff. I have to hit the frame with a hammer every once in a while while working on big equipment due to a lack of patience. Ben
  19. Monday morning my wife and I welcomed our fourth(and final) child, Payslie Ann McKnight. She was 7bls 7ozs and 19.5" long. Both the baby and her mother are doing well. This is our third daughter, so now me and the oldest are outnumbered four to two. I'm going to have to by a few more shotguns in about 10 years. Sorry for the poor photo quality, it's from my phone. Ben
  20. Here is a link to the original post, the link in there worked. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/27942-l-cab/ Ben

  24. Bob, Its got what I believe to be a 262 cummins, but the tag on the pump says 335. Its got a 5 and 4. I haven't looked at the rears to see what they are. My paperwork from the Mack Museum should be here in the next few weeks with all the details.
  25. I can't wait, I could use some parts too. Although the shipping might kill me! Ben
