  1. Advanced plating & powder coating, Nashville, TN. they do show quality work, used them several times.
  2. Yes you can.
  3. Do you have any pictures of the R model.
  4. AT least they have CLASS.
  5. Whats the deal with speedometer, is that the new tachograph.
  6. Im only going to use one so I will put the green one back on, Thanks guys for letting me know.
  7. I mounted my red filter down by the right front, side of the oil pan, ( change underneath the front bumper) did away with the green one. didn't think I needed both.
  8. Rick: that stainless trailer would look good behind your good looking B model. Ron
  9. Looks good, I bet it sounds good too. are those 4" or 5" pipes.
  10. Not mine but if anyone needs (11) 11.00R-20 goodyear G177 like new cond. on 10 hole budd rims for $1500. ( WWW.autorv.com ) off a 5 ton military truck in Three Rivers MI. just thought I would pass it along.
  11. Thanks Al and PeterMack Deans Foods sure had nice R models leased to them, I wonder what happened to them. did they have any Superliners. Ron
  12. PeterMack I remember seeing those Deans Foods R model Macks running around. I used to see some R models with big aerodyne bunks on them, they were nice looking trucks.
  13. I put a battery tender on my B model, leave it plugged in all winter. it makes the batteries last longer, I too use 2 NAPA group 31 batteries never had a problem.
  14. Did you get your hubs on? a friend has two 22.5 wheels ( he thinks they are hub pilots) I can look at them this weekend to be sure.
  15. Look on the fuel pump for a tag sometimes it has the CPL# on it. www.powerlinecomponents.com has a list of CPL#s starting with #1, go to overhaul kits by CPL#s should get you there.
  16. Thanks 84superdog I don't plan on hauling anything with it. I know you have the horsepower to pull 3.65s loaded but I didn't think the 865 would have the power to pull a load with 3.65s. does a 1070 10 speed Mack have the same overdrive that a Roadranger has. if I could find the bellhousing mounts for a westcoast R model or a Cruiseliner with a Roadranger I would like to put a 13 speed Roadranger in it, I have the bellhousing just need the bell mounts.
  17. By the looks of the air cleaner it looks like a 285 and the transmission has been swapped or a 315 if the 9 speed is stock but it also looks like it has a charge air cooler too. anyway that is one nice looking R model, ,it looks like he takes pride in it.
  18. 84superdog are the 3.65 too high geared, what overdrive are you running in the transmission. I have a set of 3.65s I thought about putting in a RS700L with an 865 and a 1070 ten speed overdrive on 22.5 hi tread tires, do you think it would be too high geared for bobtailing around. what would the top speed, would 4.17 or 3.86-3.87 be better.
  19. The older 7 speeds were 1070G, I think the splitter knob had a lock out but without the lock you had a 10 speed. I have one of the older 1070G.
  20. You might check to see if you have the PTO gears in the transmission " what ever side your going to put it on", if not you will have to install one.
  21. Automotive Industries , Owendale, MI. made the sleeper on my 1958 B61. I have seen the same sleepers on 50s GMCs.
  22. At work we have a 1990 E6 350 4-valve and it has a 5" outlet on the turbo.
  23. I wouldn't go and bigger than 5", just my opinion anything bigger than 5" does not look good on an R model
