  1. On top of fuel pump is a fuel switch, try turning the switch to manual ( in is on) see if that helps.
  2. Around the middle of September there was a nice clean 88 Superliner for sale at Sterling Express on US route 6 Valparaiso, IN. the owner said it had 650,000 total miles, 100,000 miles on overhaul. has a 350 Mack, Mack transmission, newway airride, Mack 3.87 rears, aerodyne ( maybe 48-60" walk in sleeper) red & white, he said $15,000 firm. # he gave me is 219 465-8560.
  3. I worked on a Chevy C/60 tandem couple of years ago that someone put the signal line in the bottom of the tank. it was plugged, installed line on top of tank and new govenor had not any problem since.
  4. OK Thanks Farmer I guess it was the one with the old style grille & bumper. both are sharp looking tractors but the red one is the nicest.
  5. That isn't the truck that was for sale last year at Gearharts was it. if it is it has a 8V71 (318) 13 speed roadranger , I think he was asking $ 12,0000. for it. nice looking truck.
  6. Did they make an E6 that late, i thought they had the E7 by then, don't know but some on here can tell you.
  7. What year are you working on. the newer RS-RL cabs sits higher than the older ones. don't know what year they switched. I have a 79 RS600L and it has the round front cab mounts.
  8. What do you guys think an 865 is worth. I came across 2 865s, I know one is the other might be a 866, it didn't have a tag on it. they are complete take outs. it looks like they came out of an F model. one is clean and no oil leaks. just wandering what they would be worth. Ron
  9. My brother has a 78 F Model that had a 350 Cummins in it, I would say it had the same setup on it except its got a viscos fan clutch. I ran a 67 F-737 that had a 250 Cummins 10 speed roadranger for years it did fine back in the 70s early 80s.
  10. With one stick and duel exhaust might be repowered with a 237 5 speed.
  11. When you find out let me know. I have a 72 R Model doing the same thing, you barely touch the brake pedal and brakes lock up bobtailing or with a trailer. id hate to drive it on wet pavement,
  12. If that is a 737 it would be a 250 Cummins.
  13. OK I will get some pictures.
  14. You may not want it, don't know what it would like on a Mack. but it is an Aerodyne looks like 60" walk in, with bunkbeds , windows on top like a KWs were, lite gray interior. if you are interested in it I will see what I can get it for.
  15. Thanks Mike I thought if it was you would know since you are from Iowa. theres one for sale close to me that is in real nice shape, don't know what it came off of.

  19. I would replace the quick release valve, I don't have a relay valve on my truck and the park brake works fine.

  22. That truck was a Gearharts last year, I think his name is Rod Good. I was drooling all over it, I think I went to look at it 5-6 times that Saturday. it has a big sleeper like Mike Harbisons Superliner, glad I got pictures of it when I did, beautiful truck hate to see it go overseas.

How many of you guys have been to the ATHS in Kansas City. I thought about going out this fall, never been to the place. is there something to do there all day, are they open weekends, is it worth driving 250 miles to see.??? Thanks Ron
  24. I have 2 1973 RS700Ls and one was built October of 72 that has a steel dash. the other was built in February of 73 has the new style dash. I would say after the year was mostly over they titled it for the next year. Ron
