  1. Happy to see your misspent youth continues! For some reason, I'm thirsty......
  2. Neither a U or R model 686 would have a 237 engine. A truck equipped with the ENDT-675 (237 HP) would be a 685 truck designation. Both truck designation 685 and 686 (ENDT-676 285 HP) feature a Maxidyne series engine and utilize 5 or 6 speed transmissions. The specs between an R/U 685 or 686 (beside the engine spec) could be identical with the exception of the U models offset cab and a shorter chassis wheelbase to take advantage of the shorter BBC dimension.
  3. OK. So it was a supercharger issue.
  4. I used the #193 on my headlight panels. Not quite right but it is OK with me.
  5. My recollection is that the 6-110 wasn't used regularly in automotive styled diesel applications because of the cycling RPM. GM did testing with PIE (Pacific Intermountain Express) and the 6-110 was not deemed worthwhile in trucks. I would think there were a couple of 110's in owner operator built custom rigs. Apparently the 6-110 in constant rpm uses such as gensets or stationary applications worked well.
  6. The nuts are listed on ebay as well. .006 is pretty close in ISO manufacturing....
  7. Looks like you all did pretty well!
  8. Possibly try a UD or Hino truck dealer? Here is some info from Parker that includes metric brake fittings. http://www.parker.com/Literature/Fluid Connectors Group/Fluid Connectors Group Static Files/I-AirBrakeProducts.pdf
  9. I don't have any info with regards to the cabs. Both seem to utilize Mack L model doors and one is using modified L model aluminum windshield frames. Some sort of kit made by Mack or full custom? I don't know. Here is an NO in military dress.
  10. It may be an EB or EC with an off chance of being an LMU.
  11. Military rigs. Several have been converted.

  16. Requires six sidewalk supervisors be present while loading.
  17. I think you will need a 239357N Bendix nut. Why one is not included with a new valve......? 7/8" 20 tpi ?
  18. Shown at the Connecticut Yankee Show in 2002.
  19. Excellent find! Not too many LH's built. Would be nice if it was still a tandem from its original build as an LHSW.
  20. Yup, the voices in my head say negative ground vehicles will have a wire between the negative terminal on the coil and the distributor, A wire from the positive coil terminal will go to the ignition switch.
  21. Did you change it to 12 volt neg. ground? Are you using a 12 volt coil?
  22. In the 2080 operation guide, Mack recommends not starting out higher than 3L (6.63). The 5.24 ratio of 1H (fourth) is not practical to use for starting.
  23. NO Depending on conditions, you may not need to use one or more of the lower gears. The shift pattern is below.
