  1. Nice! When a hammer doesn't work, get a bigger hammer.
  2. When one trailer isn't enough. Pic from american loggers.com
  3. The hood on the B-67 (six cylinder) with the larger radiator are shorter than a B-615. I have heard that there was one B-61 (six cylinder) with the large cast radiator which gives the appearance of being V8 powered.
  4. I purchased some Michelin blades at Walmart last month. Whether they have the correct style for a KW, dunno?
  5. That is not the case. Diesel locomotives with massive turbo's run oil bath air cleaners. Trucks had turbo's and oil bath air cleaners back in the day. Ease of maint. with dry filters plus being able to mount a dry filter housing in any position pretty much killed the oil bath off for trucks.
  6. Going to a dry element, I would modify what you have. An oil bath filter is a very efficient system. It is a little more maint. but works very well at trapping dirt. Here is an option from Watt's. http://www.wattstruckcenter.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_72&product_id=397 I used a dry filter salvaged from an old R model on my B-75 which had no filter when I got it. It is a little tall and would have to be cut down for a B-53.
  7. Sounds like you might have a T2080B.
  8. The hardnose radiator was available on the B-67. Listed with no reserve. Could be a nice hobby truck for someone. Previous discussion on the hard nose. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/45330-looking-for-63-mack-b67t-accessory/ https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/28648-mason-dixon-lines-b-65/
  9. Different. The 1233 cartridge is about 15" tall. The 1030 is about 9" tall. As a double check, I would open the oil canister and get the part number off the top of the cartridge that is in there now. Who knows what someone did in the past.
  10. C'mon, little Jeffie B with an agenda....
  11. I can't totally wrap my head around all that AI, machine learning, blockchain, etc. has in store for world, but there will always be cockroaches and lawyers.
  12. Don't have too much fun....
  13. Sometimes old and crappy is actually way better than new and improved.
  14. OK Thanks. Sounds like he is on a new adventure!
  15. Anyone heard from Carl?
  16. A B-424 is single rear axle "four wheel drive". A B-426 is a tandem rear axle "four wheel drive".
  17. Thought I had some info but all I can find is the later series transfer case.
  18. Replacement latch will be swap meet or junkyard. You could also try a rotary repair kit. The kit pictured is a Champ-Items product. Sources will be ebay, swap meets and old car parts dealers mostly advertising in places like Hemmings Motor News. The Champ kit for the Mack driver's door is 640-E and the pass. door is 640-F. The pictured kit is a 640-A and doesn't fit Mack but the general look is the same.
  19. Same system for replacing the 6-71 starter off the Brockway. Straps, bad language, more straps! Hey , wait a second. You own a boom truck! I think we should see the "Barbie Jeep" golf cart at Bolton next year. It can ride over in the 67.
  20. Sounds more like an incomplete kit. If you need one sleeve, see what these guys might be able to do for you. http://powerbore.com/custom-cylinder-sleeves/
  21. A swamper is a helper or day laborer. I figured that OD was looking for help with his load....
  22. Some info to add to your design and engineering process data base. A DD 12V71 weighs 3,300 lbs. Just an FYI. DD music is like no other!
