  1. Correct. The dimension from the centerline of the front axle to the back of the cab on your B-71ST is 74 1/2" with a 146 1/2" WB (for example). A B-61ST with the same WB would also be 74 1/2" CL axle to the back of the cab. Your B-71 is 38" axle to front bumper. A B-61 is 27.5" axle to front bumper if utilizing a flush mounted bumper or 33.5" with the extended front bumper. Everything would line up except the radiator and bumper.
  2. Dang! Hard trucking this winter. Fine looking swamper!
  3. Spokes and 24" rubber add a lot!
  4. An ETAZ 673A is a 315-320 HP Thermodyne 300 Plus.
  5. Seems that way. Then the 4 valve 350's were out.
  6. Too cold for body filler! Any progress is progress.
  7. 88 model designation ETAZ 677 engine stamping
  8. Half dogs started mid 60's until 1978ish. I have looked at various factory photos and some trucks don't have them. I haven't seen a truck order form. Possibly an option?
  9. Mack M ride or Volvo T ride here in the states. Same thing. Either way, my condolences.
  10. Cummins were under the hood of B-71, 73, 733, 77, 773, 83, 833, 85, 853, 87, 873 https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/tutorials/article/206-b-model-engine-data/ The B-73 you saw had a transplanted CAT engine. Originally it was a Cummins. Not aware of any US regular production B's getting a CAT. A B-71 isn't a set back axle. But it is a B model with an extended nose. B-21 fire trucks with Hall Scott power also used an extended hood.
  11. Haha! I wanted you to do it because I couldn't get it to work either! After trying a couple of different things, the info "seems" to be available in the wiki again. I can't edit the original thread so I added the info using a regular response post.

  13. Boy, I wish I had a couple signs laying around!
  14. Check out some Allison info for suggested recommendations. http://www.allisontransmission.com/parts-service/approved-fluids
  15. Good looking float!
  16. I am not a new engine guy but this may help. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/9156-strange-e7-oil-leak/
  17. Cummins NHB 200 HP 743 CID.
  18. A dealer can get you a fuse diagram for your truck.
  19. What Paul said and I will just add that you really need to analyze what they are using for a cam. Does it match your needs? Work or around town? Torque is king in a working truck. Had an old K-20 that was all in at 2,000 rpm but it had the low end grunt to pull stumps.
  20. B Day meal will either be some lobsta' or Virginia ham depending on where you are!
  21. Excellent Vlad! Could you put the Cabs pdf into the wiki?
  22. Probably a very safe place to stay at when they are in town!
  23. That info was in the forum wiki but was lost in an update. Hopefully someone has it saved. I would like a full copy myself. As an example: B30, B42, B421, B47, B60, B61, B68 are the same hood.
  24. That is a fairly rare truck. A model 25 equals a civilian Mack DE model. 226 CID engine, 4 spd trans. and 20" wheels.
  25. Here is the transmission thread. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/51881-triplex-quandry/?tab=comments#comment-387891
