  1. Crappy design for marginal performance.
  2. Carefully designed for proven performance.
  3. I would say the late 30's/early 40's because it was used on the L models and the heavy duty F models.
  4. Looks Good! That will keep you busy and off the streets at night.
  5. Sort of like the stripes that you have now. Here is a two tone blue paint job and a blue stripe Liner.
  6. Right, a lot of sheet metal was a hold over because of the war. Crank out windshields certainly improved ventilation on a hot day!
  7. Have some fun!
  8. Excellent! Leave as a tractor or put a box on it?
  9. Don't recall a stainless Sterling. There are some stainless steel Autocars out and about.
  10. Parts are going to be tricky to get. You may have to get on the phone with a Mack dealer in the NYC, NJ or Philadelphia area. Lots of Mid-liners were in use in that area.
  11. That sucks! If the deer was hit by a Freightshaker you could just write off the whole truck.
  12. Natural aspirated END 673C is a 187 HP engine. ENDT 673C is a turbo engine 250 HP as Terry and Glenn indicated.
  13. Sounds like ADVON trucks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPS6JH7KAlA
  14. Cranky? Old? Possibly. But you are not wrong. What about the woman that returned a "live" Christmas tree to Costco after the holiday and was able to get a refund? https://nypost.com/2018/01/10/woman-returns-dead-christmas-tree-to-costco-in-january/ Lack of common sense has become the new norm.
  15. Try Mahoney's Cummins at 603-642-8483. They may have what you need in one of their storage trailers.
  16. I have heard the same thing but can't really confirm the authenticity. APA had Ford LN's with and without stacks. Quite a few LTL shippers went with weedburners because it took weight out of the trucks, were less money to buy and kept the nose of the trailers cleaner.
  17. You are gaining on it, One down and 1,999 screws to go!
  18. Good Deal! I needed the same for my L cab B-75 and got them through Restoration Specialities in PA. Aren't they fun to remove after a bunch of years!
  19. Thanks Hippy!
  20. Saw this neat little rig at the New England Chapter Show last Fall. The fifth wheel set up is earlier than 1941 I believe. At this point, CRS has kicked in because I can't remember the brand of the trailer or fifth wheel.
  21. Glad no one was hurt. Wonder if he still has a job?
  22. "Urban Cowboy" was the name of the flick.
  23. You can do anything you want. I wouldn't bother. Not to say that a Fuller (or whatever brand) is a light transmission but a Mack Duplex/Triplex/Quad box weighs a LOT. So, after you spend a bunch of money for the conversion and buying all the parts needed and custom fabrication ($$$$$), your pickup will be about 2,000 lbs heavier. For the same money spent on conversion, you could buy a Mack B, L or R hobby truck and do some two stick shifting.
