  1. Damn Kids!
  2. Insanity is just a state of mind.
  3. Yes, I saw that. It is a blog entry. Anyone can do it. You can enter the Blogs using the top toolbar. As new content, it will show in unread content. I am OK with folks posting crap in the blogs because I ignore it. I get upset if spam is put into the truck content sections. There was some spam in the antique truck section the other day so I hit the "Report" button and let the moderators deal with. Poof! It was gone.
  4. Nothing pops up for me. There is a banner ad that displays at the bottom of the pages.
  5. Ha! You caught it. The displacement is listed as 866 in the upper right corner of the dyno sheet.
  6. Here is an interesting 1970 brochure for a derated 865 Maxidyne. Instead of 325 HP, you got 285 HP. Don't know how many units were installed. It seems to retain the same "95" engine identifier as does the 325 version. So, a U-795 might have either HP rating. Checking the engine tag would confirm. I am thinking that the ENDDT 865 might have been done by 1974. The 6 cylinder Maxidyne ENDT 676 was introduced in 1973 with 285 HP so it was probably regarded as being redundant to have a 285 HP V8 with similar torque ratings.
  7. Nicely done Truck Stop! Seeing the Peerless emblems reminds me that I have some Peerless Trailer brochures stashed away.
  8. Happy New Year and Happy Birthday! Stay warm at the party!
  9. Uugh! Bet everything is plugged in now!
  10. Stay inside and work on a tractor today!
  11. I think the Michigan Super had a factory 3406B that was getting rebuilt.
  12. Haven't seen a 1693 Super. Detroit 8V92 were an option for RW Superliners. 8V71 and 8V92 Detroit Diesel were available in the R-700 as well.
  13. Below zero temps is a great time to do inside video work.
  14. You got a REFUND!? Thank goodness I was sitting down for that.
  15. Shell Rotella 15W-40 motor oil for diesel engines is a good product. Sort of thinking capacity with filters is in the 12-13 qts. range. Hopefully about 10 qts. come out.
  16. Hmmm..... couldn't open it. Here is a pic of Hippy's fleet from before.
  17. Molly is missing from the pic. Must be on holiday from the holidays.
  18. Usually the shaft does not need to come out. What year is the truck and the trans. model? Mack Duplex? Fuller? T2100?

  23. Every so often, the vertical style shows up on ebay.
  24. I haven't had to mess with one yet but there is a module or cluster that takes the signal from the speed sensor and converts. It may be FUBAR at this point.
