  1. How "long" is a long time? Time it to see how long it takes to build.
  2. Check the volts at the battery with a handheld voltmeter and see where you are at. If it is over charging for too long, you will fry your batteries.

  10. Thinking about the original body line question, is that the +3 cab that you put the early metal dash into for the ex Mary Hitchings R-719? I remember you mentioned that there were a cazzillion spot welds that had to be cut. Do you recall the year of the donor +3 cab?
  11. Not ever doing any work on an Aussie truck, it may be possible to raise the engine to give some room without removing it? IDK for sure. The right side of the block and chassis is pretty busy. Years ago, there was a factory procedure on Brockway trucks to cut the frame to facilitate the removal of the steering box. Then there were special sections of frame rail bolted over the repair. MOT may not like that procedure today.....
