  1. The AC was at the Fire House Cafe in Worcester. The article about its restoration was in the March/April 2003 Double Clutch publication.
  2. The 1920 Mack AC got a ride to the show. The AC had been originally built as a fire truck for Keene, NH but it had been cut apart many years ago. It was beautifully reconstructed as a dump truck.
  3. Here is some previous discussion. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/41527-camelback-dog-tracking/
  4. I was moving a dead truck with the B75. Was on a secondary road that was posted 55 mph and I was doing the speed limit. There was a fairly new white Cadillac close behind me with its windshield wipers on. The day was overcast but no rain. My windshield was completely dry. Why was he running his wipers? About five miles down the road, the Cadillac turned onto another road and I just kept on trucking. Back at my place, I see the whole right side of the roll back body is covered in a film of oil. WTH? The dead truck had no hood and the hose from the air filter to turbo was long gone. So, as the air was forced back through the oil bath air cleaner, it was coming out the top and spraying the Caddy! I never saw anything suspicious in the right side mirror so it must have been a nice oil mist coming out. Sorry Mr. Cadillac driver.
  5. A Lorain shovel is keeping an eye on these two.
  6. http://truckpartsetc.com/sales/PDFs/Arvin Meritor (Euclid)/Meritor_DaytonBrake.pdf I had to match up dimensions for a truck. Using the specs from Meritor I got everything but it was too wide so a machine shop made it the correct width.
  7. This will give you some more info for the 17 digit VIN. The date codes will be newer than what you are working on. https://onlineuniversity.bloomfire.com/posts/969647-mack-trucks-vin-decoder
  8. 80W-90 gear oil.
  9. Powered by 315 HP, this concrete block delivery truck is based in MA but it took a different route getting there.
  10. It is a bitsa. The paint is sooooo nice!
  11. We will do it again next year. At least you got to check out all the iron!
  12. Might have been Bob. He could have had some of the coleslaw for lunch...
  13. Another Fabulous show with LOTS of trucks on display! A bit of a rogue's gallery with a few BMT folk. From left: Jim (jhancock), Paul (PC68), Rich (66dc75), Bob (Red Horse), Hippy (70mackMB), Matt (mattb73lt)
  14. When your work clothes are a black tuxedo suit.
  15. The show is at the Lancaster Fairgrounds, 318 Seven Bridge Rd, Lancaster, MA. This is Rt 117 between 495 (exit 27) and 190. The Bolton Fair is held at the Lancaster Fairgrounds.
  16. Might not be needed, several New England BMTers are in the Witness Protection Program and have to stay out of sight!
  17. That is pretty much NO miles. What is the story?
  18. Torque rating is in the 2000 ft lbs range. Mack triple shaft transmissions have moxie.
  19. 13.91 on the low side and .71 on the high side. Check the stamping on the chuck. 4.42 with .71 @ 2100 rpm is 83 mph. 3.86/3.87 with .71 @ 2100 rpm is 96 mph.
  20. Boy..... That is going to take a lot of wrapping paper!
  21. Nice project! It is a pain when critters get involved. There is an ex IT Pete COE that goes to a few east coast shows.
