  1. Hope all is well and he is just out shopping for new treasures.
  2. It would look great in your driveway.
  3. Coming together nicely!
  4. Allison didn't go with DDC. It was sold to private equity from GM around 2007. It trades on the stock market under the ticker ALSN.
  5. Seen available used as you have found. Too bad you can't find something at a yard down in FL because the only way I would want to do it is in person with carefully looking for any cracks and to verify your bearing number works.
  6. Crank stays in its position but the head is over to the right side.
  7. Verify that the VIN from the tag matches the VIN stamped on the frame rails.
  8. The 8QJ414 casting seems to be available. I would double check the bearing numbers to see if they are the same side to side and go that route.
  9. Sorry, I forgot that flat back was available. Seen so many B67 with the contour compared to seeing very few with the flat.
  10. Some of the dimensions are the same but the B67 has the contour cab back panel as well as a large doghouse in the firewall to accommodate the motor. Also, some of the motor options were the same between the two models but a B67 mounted the motor rotated toward the pass. side.
  11. Intake air snorkels are available in the aftermarket. The Mack part number for a 6" intake is 49MD51 or Donaldson H001660.
  12. But what will the neighbors say...
  13. It is an Mack EH which was built between 1936-1950. You can send the VIN tag number and a donation to the Mack Museum and they could get the exact date. I will make a guess of the early 40's just before WWII. http://www.macktruckshistoricalmuseum.org/ The grille is from an Autocar truck and has nothing to do with the Mack cab other than it is painted yellow also.
  14. The starter may still have a tag indicating what it is. With old equipment, it can be interesting to determine because what may have been done to the vehicle by previous "mechanics". If the battery jumper cable goes from pos to neg you will get 24 volts out of two twelve volt batteries. If two or more 12 volt batteries have the jumper wire going pos to pos or neg to neg, than you still have 12 volt but much more capacity.
  15. Very KooL picture!
  16. A DM685 will haul tons of material and is dependable as the day is long. It is a heavy chassis compared to more modern vehicles and that may be a problem depending on your plans.
  17. An END-673E is 500-530. ENDT-673C, ENDT-675 and the ENDT-676 is 445-475 for comparison.
  18. A B42 weighs about 8000-8500 lbs depending on how it is set up. Good luck with your project.
  19. Nice! Looks like you have hobby this winter.
  20. Maybe they were trying to cook Twinkies in OD's smoker oven?
  21. KooL! It would look great in my driveway except the driveway isn't long enough....
  22. Hey nutmegger! You know what snow is. We have witnesses.
  23. Agree, it really should have come with a nut. Bendix 239357N should be the number for the nut.
