  1. Very sad. My condolences to his family and his extended family at Moore. Stay safe and give that pipe a wide berth.
  2. I am feeling under the weather. If I was feeling good I would have given you a ration of shit about cleaning the filter..... The NAPA 1503 is a cartridge filter about 4" X 8". The Baldwin DF 408 is a sock filter measuring about 5.75" X 10".
  3. Hope the 1503 works for you. If it does you can practice cleaning the old one and see what happens.
  4. Never had to dig into the barn doors on a Suburban. Only replaced the W/S once. Does it help to have someone push the doors "in" at the bottom to to take the pres. off the latch while the other tries to work the mechanism? Don't like working inside doors either. Wish I had better info for you.
  5. Might need an "IMD" just to walk down the sidewalk.

  7. Farmer was just getting creative! My favorite was pulling a dash harness out of an early Camaro with about 20 Scotchlok's installed. What a plate of spaghetti that was.

  9. Nice! Hopefully the first scuff or scratch will be a long ways off.
  10. Only half the bulbs...? With an older truck, there is going to be a good chance of some modified wiring. Here is a PDF diagram for an 1983 if you need some info.
  11. Could be all of the above. Should be straight.
  12. The block casting number will tell the tale for which engine you have. Sucks about the speedo drive but you might have to open it up and clean it out.
  13. Mack manuals show up on ebay every so often. Yup, I have some old Motor books as well...
  14. Here is some previous discussion. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/14402-rd-rear-end-leaking/
  15. You are going to be busy!
  16. Maybe take a look at a Baldwin DF 408 sock oil filter or Fleetguard LF 508. https://www.grainger.com/product/BALDWIN-FILTERS-Oil-Filter-4ZRV9 https://catalog.cumminsfiltration.com/catalog/partsearch.do?&reqCmd=PartInformation&partNumber=LF508&PartType=Lube, Cartridge&Part=DF408&criteria=part&_locale=en
  17. Drivers with flip flops need not apply.
  18. I got 48,000 highway miles on a set of General Grabber HTS LT245-75R17 on a Ford F250 FWD. Not real great in the snow but FWD takes care of that. Put the same thing on for replacements and at 64,000 still look good. With tires, Everyone will have an opinion!
  19. This may be a more economical conversion if you want to do some fabrication. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/14786-elictric-wiper-conversion-r-model/
  20. May still be available. http://www.wattstruckcenter.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=274
  21. Pretty much but don't forget the charge air cooler. Part of getting the 350 HP will be cooling the compressed air. An old RD with a 237 didn't have a provision for the cooler.
  22. Hmmmm....... Game 7. This will be very interesting.
  23. Manders is in MN might be able to help you. http://mandersdiesel.com/
