  1. You should buy the F glider that just recently was discussed here. Not to pee on your cheerios but finding a new, never mounted crate F cab is going to be pretty slim. Take a road trip and check it out. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/46822-new-f-model-glider-kit-powered/
  2. Have fun! Going to wear that Peterman wrecker out.
  3. Welcome! Post a pic of the Willys.
  4. Are you using the insulator spacer blocks in the spring boxes? Has the wheelbase been checked between the front rear axle and the rear rear axle? There are offset spring end pads made to compensate so each side will be reasonable close in measurement. Especially if rubber spring end pads are bring used, the blocks are to be installed lubricated with soap NOT grease. Who knows, maybe at some point, an incorrect length torque rod was installed. There are several lengths available. Here is a bogie alignment diagram. You will want to verify what the correct dimension values for your 2006 are in case they are different then the ones shown.
  5. Maccar started in 1912 by Jack Mack, one of the founding brothers of Mack trucks and business partner Roland Carr. Found some notes showing the truck is a 1933 Maccar 100 model.
  6. The older box truck is a Maccar and it was probably built in Scranton, PA.
  7. Federal Mogul. Crank seals 99324 and FP446GC1115. Head gasket qty 2 FP57GC2115A.
  8. Governor could be causing the surging. Pump not keeping up on long pulls? Pres. gauge will tell the tale. Seems odd you go over fine and have issues on the way back. Someone messing with you at the track?
  9. Autocar single axle dump truck.
  10. Good looking rig! Mack engines are rated at the flywheel. Mack engines make some pretty good torque and torque gets things done.
  11. Another spot for looseness sometimes can be caused by worn pins and bushings in the front springs. I have matched up springs for the drag link from an industrial parts house.
  12. Glad the truck is doing OK for you. Not a fan of Bostrom at the moment for other reasons.
  13. Think he wanted around $12K for it.
  14. I remember his Malco Gasser's Mustang that he was running with the Ford SOHC motors.
  15. I hope "Ohio George" knows his way around Ford motors....... Wonder how many SOHC parts he stashed away!!!
  16. A couple Group 31 12 volt batteries should do nicely. About 900 CCA.
  17. It is a B-34. I checked it out when it was down at the Western Mass show. Neat little rig.
  18. That is a shiny pump panel.
  19. Looks Good!
  20. The slacks and chambers should match all the way around. A longer slack will give more leverage/more force for a given air pressure. Customizing chambers and forcing the clevis is not good.
  21. Keep in mind that a B73/5/7 series hood for the standard B cab is not the same hood for a B73/5/7 series with the L cab. The front edge to the radiator will be the same but where the hood meets the cab is different. The hood side will be vertical for the L cab and the B cab hood will have the side panel curved.
  22. Fly the plane to see the truck......
