  1. Glad that the Cummins will soon be hummin again. Sorry you have to be seen in a red oval. Hopeful a good hot shower and soap will remove any nasty residue. Have fun in Athens!
  2. Looks Great!
  3. No exact location but it was being done by Michels Corporation with a headquarters in Brownsville WI. It just said US 41 Mainline in WI. https://www.michels.us/heavy-civil-construction/paving/
  4. I am in the same deal. I think making them out of brass stock may be the route to take. It will be easy to work into shape and will be the perfect base metal for chrome plating. Tap holes to attach from the back and it will work. Before that, I have to do sheet metal repair, rebuild the engine and trans, wiring and paint and......... I have some time to think about the strips!
  5. True. The long ones are a little tricky to find also.
  6. Here is an MR hauler from a while back. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/30360-1984-mr-toy-hauler/
  7. Damn hot rodders! Turning up the pump... Air start.... I thought you said your neighbors liked you?
  8. I need a couple of the short strips myself. The short strips are back cut and contoured on one end to nest against the "Mack" emblem. My search indicates that they are unique and only apply to the ED and DE models.
  9. Picture borrowed from Google. Said that it was 52 feet wide. Didn't see a picture where the truck was on the machine. This was dump and screed. Certainly putting the truck on the machine would add a lot of technical factors to the operation.
  10. You are doing fine. I have been working on a couple of projects for more years than you have been alive.
  11. Nice project! Not many beast like that still around. Sounds like your buddy should help you out and put A/C in his shop....
  12. Yes, they were working on a Big Six but it was not produced. Here is a link to some previous conversation and a couple of pictures.
  13. Winch truck used in the house moving trade in Rhode Island. 1967 Brockway 258.
  14. Yup, E doors are a pain. The window sash channel where the window rollers go should be removed off the regulator arms to give to the glass shop. They will use setting tape and hammer the glass into the channel so it can be reinstalled in the door. Also, a good time to use WD-40 or PB Blaster to make sure the rollers work super smoothly. I haven't had to work on an E door for about 15 years and I swore the next time would be too soon.
  15. There you go..... showing off again!
  16. Aren't they all. Being on a farm, the question becomes, "What is it stuck in...?"
  17. Ed and older brother Fred Brunnhoelzl built the little rig in 1949 using cut down Dodge pickup truck frame rails, Dodge front axle and a Model A Ford rear axle, a modified Pontiac grill and a V8 60 flathead and a Ford transmission. Here is a story about Steady Eddie. http://www.flyinbryan.com/himes/stories/SteadyEddieBrunnhoelzl.pdf
  18. Tanker 1322 looks like a DM or a really heavy duty U model.
  19. Skip's Mack fleet.
  20. Nice! Looks like one of the second or third to the last B tri-drive B-57's next you.
  21. Elizabeth Hurley
  22. Neither does Bill......
  23. There are tools to pull the liners out. Stubborn liners can be "shrunk" by welding beads in them. Protect the crank journal from splatter if you use the welding option.
  24. A couple of COE's. A 1939 Ford, 1971 Mack MB tractor, GMC Astro and a big bunk Peterman.
