  1. You've got to love a truck that you can repair with parts from the hardware store.
  2. Watch your pinion angles and ride heights when doing your conversion. If they are too far out of spec, it can lead to mysterious drive line vibrations.
  3. Here are a couple of pictures from the show. The weather forecast didn't help turnout this year. Still had over 120 trucks in the drizzle and light rain.
  4. Can you post a picture of the ad? It could be legit because the Mack N model and the Ford C series both used the Budd cab for a low COE truck.
  5. Looks Good! Clean sheet metal is sooo good to work with.
  6. 1948 Sterling HC-144 tractor owned by School Street Truck parts.
  7. You can take a look at page 31 or 84 in the Bendix link and this may give you an idea of what is in a single yellow knob set up. Also, using the Bendix book, you could check your existing system versus their schematic for an explanation on what is going on with your truck. http://www.cumberlandtrucks.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/2014-Bendix-Air-Brake-Handbook.pdf
  8. Western Mass ATCA show today. Owner's name is Jim. It was a booster deal for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
  9. 77 would have been a little Cummins V8.
  10. 1957 Mack B34B-1403 401 engine with a body by Gillig Coach, Hayward, CA.
  11. Swishy.... Where is the problem? Just truck drivers from Oklahoma, flip flops.... torn jeans.... torn sweatshirts.....
  12. Sent you a PM.
  13. I call that a pusher axle. Tag is after the rear suspension.
  14. Not aware of anyone doing this particular swap. Here is a oil diagram of a 673C which may give you some assistance. Because of the military aspect, the filter housings may be different then a regular set up.
  15. OK. Closed shoulder does seem to be easier to find.
  16. Pretty sure 554GB38A is the number for the valve covers. Call Watts.
  17. Looks like a clean unit.
  18. What a Bruiser! Is it still in NE?
  19. Not mine. Don't believe it is for sale.
  20. BC, your truck is looking Great! Any particular reason you wanted the open shoulder tire vs. the closed style?
  21. "Though you guys would appreciate it too." You were correct!
  22. To get on 24.5" rubber would mean swapping all the hubs to a 22" hub/spoke. Like Ron said, no tubeless rims or tires for what you want to do. Over the years, many have looked for the phantom 26.5" tubeless radial to replace tube type 24 inchers with no luck.
