  1. If you get into a bind. This kit may be close to the size you need. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Universal-Bolt-Through-Engine-Mount-Cushion-Kit,1199.html
  2. Pretty much. Crappy tires can be a big problem. But unless there is a smoking gun like really bad tire wear or something, finding the issue can be very frustrating. Did your problem just start one day or has it been getting worse slowly?
  3. I have seen a B67 tandem with a factory turbo. It got a designation of B-673ST and there was NO room under the hood.
  4. Vibration/shaking can be tough to solve. The list includes out of balance tires, incorrectly balanced brake drums, out of round tires, bent wheels, bad u joints, bad center bearing, incorrect pinion angles, splined driveshaft out of time, bad motor mounts, etc.
  5. Old Binder with a periscope in the roof for doing utility work.
  6. Congrats! Soooo, what is it? Pictures? My first truck was the poster child for a beater.
  7. Here's a pic. The body is 22" tall and takes a Fleetguard AF-966 filter element. The B75 has the fender to cab filler panel so this may not be suitable for the B61. You may have to scout around to find the correct height dry housing to fit.
  8. A couple of friends saw the asphalt mods at Riverhead and reported it was one hell of show.
  9. Tandem, long wheelbase, sleeper..... BIGGER garage! Running a dry filter on the 75. When I bought the truck, the original filter was missing. I picked up a dry filter from Phil at Global about 7 years ago. It was on the shelf so I don't know what it was off other than an R/U model (?). Let me know if you want some pics. Paid $100.
  10. Hope the B goes good and you have an excellent weekend with the 'Star. The truck looks naked without the bunk.
  11. From the album: Shop Dog Gallery

With Mike's 1925 Mack AC in the background.
  12. Both Vin and Green Dash were just on within the last day or so. I think someone said previously that Vision was now on Facebook or something? I was in Vin's neighborhood the other day and he may be running one of the dozen or so liquid manure spreaders out of Marks Farm that are everywhere this time of year. Boy, what a shitty job.....
  13. Maybe check with Daryl up in ME. He seems to know where the larger IH trucks are in New England. http://gusheerigging.com/
  14. It depends on what your plans for the truck might be. Sure, for a once a year parade truck, throw parts at it and see how long it goes. If you want to do more with it, you will have to do more to it or change to a better motor.
  15. Bearings are available. A good engine shop should be able to handle the machine work.
  16. Here is another single cylinder Sheppard diesel riding on the back of a REO.
  17. He probably has a sensor built into the trans. that sends the gear shift "number" via the internet to his iPhone which than relays the info to a dash mounted LCD screen via bluetooth.
  18. Ahhh.....it is not going to help! If there is ANY indication of a broken front spring, please get a new one installed pronto!
  19. I thought Combs had one but I don't see it listed. Maybe give a call and see what they could do for you. http://combscustommfg.com/mack_truck_body_parts
  20. Really nice fire B!
  21. Probably so. I bought it from the fellow that got it off ebay about 10-11 years ago. I had a grand plan, scheme, fantasy, idea that just didn't pan out the way I had hoped. Many parts found their way into several other trucks projects.
  22. I had a B833ST and it was pretty light weight. It was used as a tractor for multi axle Michigan Special trailers.
  23. Driver training starts early so you better get some wood blocks on the pedals.
  24. Looks pretty good! Did you get the Gar Wood winch also? I can hear the rain caps "tinging" from here!
