  1. Looks pretty good. Somebody was proud of it back in the day with custom paint inside and out.
  2. It is called pot metal and it is a zinc based material which has low cost and is easy to cast into all sorts of things. I have had dogs re chromed but the chrome shop sometimes rejects items if there are too many pits or zits. It would just be too costly to repair them at $75-100 per hour. Usually the older ones chrome well because the pot metal had fewer impurities. If you want a perfect short eared dog, just go buy one, it will be less money than re chroming. The long eared dogs are pre 1979 or so when there was a re design. The patent number was changed on the dog's chest at that point to 1,387,477. The dog base with the side holes is off an F or CF where grab handles mounted. The long eared gold tone dogs would have been off Maxidyne equipped trucks. Short eared gold tone indicate a pure bred truck with Mack engine, trans and rears. There are a LOT of trucking memories on the table.
  3. Might have to get wheelie bars for the Mack and the wagon.
  4. Red Green is wondering where all his tape is gone to. Good luck with the round tuit. Mine has been out of stock for a while.
  5. Relisted. Ding! Round #2 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Mack-Fire-Engine-Thermodyne-DIesel-83k-Miles-/252352385883?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3ac15fd35b:g:4QgAAOSwwpdW8to4&item=252352385883
  6. Boy, that is a LOT of equipment! I wouldn't mind having the GE Jeep. Never seen a convertible Ford Budd cab either.

    WHAT.......?
  10. I believe that on the Macks with the power steering pump off the air compressor, the thought is if a seal fails then you are not potentially sending ATF into your engine/air compressor oil.

Hi Barry, what is your preferred method of notification if the site goes FUBAR?
  12. Rare piece and looks great!
  13. I will check in the morning for the glove box lid. Pretty sure I have one. Can't help with the battery cover.
  14. Sounds good. 90 or 140 in the box. I don't use 15-40 in the ps but it is a little lighter grade of motor oil.
  15. Mmmmm.....power passenger window.
  16. Good deal! Now you can go down the road and get some gravel.
