  1. I used the small boot from Watt's with an air shift 6 speed in the B. Looking inside the boot, there indicators where to use a hole punch to makes holes to feed the air lines through. Mack #25159806 or 27MY29302 There is another boot that measures 9 X 10" at the mounting flange and is pretty flat. It also features reinforced spots in the rubber for the air lines. This one come not punched. The one I have shows a Mack part # 8MY446M.
  2. On my Rand McNally map, 1,725 miles is just a little more than 3 1/2 inches. Looks pretty flat too....
  3. 1,725 miles..... just around the corner!
  4. Thank you for the update on the B.
  5. The way it was.
  6. 1983 CF-611F with a Waterous pump ex Winchester, NH. Current location unknown.
  7. Yeah, yeah..... I know. Living in Fantasy Land once again.
  8. IMO every device with moving parts should have the availability of lubrication points. Sorry, I must be having delusions again...
  9. Any chance that the B95 convertible above is a B405 or B475 with Chrysler power? The wheels sure look like the style from those two models.
  10. I think you just wanted to show off that you have TWO gas axes... Oh, trailer looks nice!
  11. If you want to make a driver pickup, you don't need to know what all the numbers mean. There are so many B models that have been converted or have become unfinished projects on Craigslist and ebay, just pick the one you like and buy it.
  12. On Watt's site, it is says that they are in stock. http://www.wattstruckcenter.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_74&product_id=104 Not sure if it is OEM or reproduction.
  13. I would recommend you get a copy of John Montville's book "Mack: A Living Legend of the Highway".
  14. The truck was built with a 413 Dodge (Chrysler) gasoline engine EN414A. The number should be stamped on the lower pan rail of the block on the pass. side.
  15. Mack recommends that the liner height doesn't vary more than .001 under the same head. There are shims made to adjust the height. The liners have to be pulled to add the shims.
  16. My condolences to you and your family Dave.
  17. Glad you are making progress! Like the style Paul posted. The joint between the turbo and first pipe should be V clamp Mack #48RU2341. Seems to measure 4" using my calibrated eyeball. Kick your dealer in the volvo.
  18. I have purchased literature, brochures and Mack repair manuals off ebay. You may be able to use with modifications some sheet metal parts from Combs. http://combscustommfg.com/mack_truck_body_parts
  19. I prefer any with a carb or a mechanical pump.
  20. Will common rail still be using injector cups? What is the consensus on reliability in comparison to the current hardware and emissions?
  21. The extent of the Scania information is in the picture caption. Double Clutch magazine Volume 38, No. 2, Feb/March 2008
  22. Gay's Express in Vermont had a couple of Scania trucks. They got bought out by Holmes. There was a picture in the Double Clutch which I can find in a little bit. Guy Wilson Trucking in the Rutland, VT area also ran Scania trucks into the early 90's.
  23. Looks pretty good!
  24. C'mon, you are skipping the obvious.......Hood Scoop!
