  1. Interesting ad to read and try to decipher what he is saying! Looks like it is broken in the middle so I will put money down that it needs the front cab mounts rebuilt or the frame is cracked or bent. Also, 675 indicates a 237 HP engine so that would be a transplant motor. Depending on the driver, that may or may not kill the triplex transmission. Looks like it was big dog in its day. With the frame risers, maybe it did a little low bed work.
  2. On the "Unread Content" page there is an edit button so content can be organized. Maybe this will help you out.
  3. That is a big'un!
  4. Yup, the raised roof section on a caboose is the cupola. Will there be a rental discount for BMT folks?
  5. 688 would have been built with a 350. Looks Good!
  6. hmmm...... cupola for hunting season?
  7. Congrats on the new truck! Sort of like trying to have just one potato chip. We need pics and info.
  8. This is a touchy subject because if you don't get the EXACT match, it will be a disaster. With the stamped information off each rim, it may be possible to get the correct ring info. The rims MAY be the same but it should be verified. Check out page 24. http://www.accuridecorp.com/files/2012/10/Accuride-Wheels-Rim_Wheel-Safety-and-Service-Manual-ACC7-0002-Rev-4-06-22-12.pdf
  9. I am finding that most functions work the same as before. The "look" need some of the traditional BMT touch and that can be tuned over time. I liked having the bottom of the forum page show who is on and who has been on. The new setup displaying 83 different guests doesn't make any sense to me.
  10. Shaping up pretty good. It does look like having the axle mounted steering box helped make a little room for the swap.
  11. Was a pretty big pumper for a little town in its day. I don't have any info where it was stationed.

  13. I can see it now. Freightrain's Hot Rod Shop Specializing in Race Cars and Mack Trucks
  14. With the maroon, I would go with a faux gold leaf lettering or white with a black drop shadow.
  15. The curtain side pushes more air all the time than the skateboard but "tarping" is sure easier.
  16. Congrats! Sounds like you need a summer home in BC. Shorter commute to find more Dogs.
  17. I was actually thinking about a different guy but I am sure it applies to the one behind the Basket also. Frankie Jr. is a pretty decent guy.
  18. I think that is the play book for all of them. The small town scrapper near me is walking around most days with 5-6K in his pockets but looks like a hobo.
  19. Price of scrap is down . No money for new rubber.
  20. With the cab blown apart, add some sound deadener and insulation which will increase the efficiency of the A/C.
  21. Thank you! I will continue to put pen to paper from time to time. Sometimes work, projects and life can get in the way.
  22. Thanks! Huh.....? What was the question..? I will get back to you after "Wheel of Fortune"....
  23. Under counsel from the attorney, "Deny everything". Hmmmm......The voices in my head say, You can run but you can't hide! Edwin is a local guy that has been into trucking/trucks his entire life. Thought it would be good to get a little of his story into print.
