  1. I looked at the Montville Mack book and there is nothing mentioned specifically other than the ER (20,000 gvw) and the ES (23,000 gvw) were replaced by the larger FP at 26,000 gvw. Mack must have felt the lighter weight E model trucks would serve customers well with standard rear axles but the FP took care of the customer that still demanded chain drive with a more capacity.
  2. Here is the armored car ad from 2011. Roof line looks a little different behind the canvas compared to the factory photo but it may have been modified during service.
  3. Already cruising for chicks!
  4. There was a little overlap in production. Model ER 1936-1941 359 units ES 1938-1940 75 units FP 1940-1942 241 units
  5. Excellent! I understand this model creates its own DPF as well as EGR!
  6. It is a Ringling Bros Circus truck for erecting the tent.
  7. KooL! Late ones were called model FP.
  8. I have heard it once or twice... I always wanted a convertible.
  9. or how about this no idea what model it is but it is just the thing for cruising into town to grab a pizza or driving thru Maccas Check this out. Mack LRVSW http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/36965-mack-convoy-to-artic-circle/
  10. I would be ok with most anything except a contour cab. Too many doughnuts....
  11. Don't have a diagram for that. Have you checked to make sure the switch is ok?
  12. For the school bus, you might need a bigger door and a l o n g e r building! Total production of about 700 units in various E models. About 600 B model buses were done. I can think of six that I have seen so a lot didn't survive but that is only the northeast. There may be more survivors down south, TX, CA, etc.
  13. Here are a couple of E model buses.
  14. Looks Mighty Fine! Why didn't you buy the BIG one.....?
  15. I hope it works out that the Ford engineers have done their homework. I have always been partial to Ford products but currently don't have any skin in the Powerstroke game. As an aside, I friend of mine has a brand new Ford F-650 roll back with side puller being delivered in about 2 weeks. I will take some picture of it and the engine under the hood. A gas V10 !!! He is sick of the diesel issues and the Duramax in particular of his current Chevrolet.
  16. Hmmmm.......the insurance company will have an interesting investigation. They never like to pay a claim anyway.
  17. Sorry, couldn't come up with a match.
  18. Here is the Woody from a couple years ago. Just needs a couple of surf boards.
  19. Hopefully, you can get any of the metal shavings cleaned out of the trans. Nice to have the PTO functioning.
  20. The standard cab LM's looked similar to a heavy duty LJ with conventional exhaust. The offset cabs could be ordered either way from some old pictures I have seen. The Newport truck sounds like it was from the Smith Bros auction at the old power plant. I sort of remember the LM but dead camera batteries screwed my day for taking pictures of any of their trucks.. I do recall the DM815 with juice brakes.
  21. Is the small gear that is damaged and the gear behind it made into one piece? Separate piece? Give an approximate dimension and tooth count and I can look in my pile of junk supply room.
  22. Scroll down to post #136. Paul posted a picture of Amaducci's rig. With additional info in post #140 from Chuck P. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/36715-mack-tow-trucks-and-wreckers/page-7
  23. The L conv. does look good! Too bad it is rainy day!
  24. Fantastic! Any chance you will take it to the National Show in Macungie, PA?
