  1. I needed a drum for a FA 517 axle which also uses 16 1/2 X 4. Couldn't find one so a Webb 68897 drum was used. The drum needed to be cut down on a lathe because it is about 8 inches wide. 68897 is a 12 3/4 bolt pattern with 11 inch opening as well. May fit your spokes?
  2. Here is the pump thread. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/41912-237-problems/
  3. I am not aware of any place that have one kit with everything you might need. After a bunch of phone calls, parts could be sourced to do a rebuild on your gasser depending on what you find inside the motor. If you are just going to use it in your local area, the gas motor may work for you. If you think you want to drive from VA to Macungie, PA for the truck show, you would probably want to do an upgrade of some sort
  4. Here is the whole truck. Don't know why I didn't post it in the first place? Wouldn't mind having it in my garage!
  5. Does he need any empty vodka bottles?
  6. It is hard to do but the cleaner the better with some Brake Clean before applying the RTV.
  7. The door tag says R609 which is END 711 211 HP Thermodyne which had split manifolds.
  8. This may help. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/tutorials/article/85-w-71st-brochure/
  9. Here is some info from Mack Fax Volume 4, No. 5 dated 1984 that may be useful for you. I have never talked to anyone about the swap of 685/686 heads but it looks like it is a function in the mid 80's of the location of the bolts for the manifold. "Assuming" this is still the case for 1977 237 to 1987 285 swap.
  10. 34,000 is light but would be useful for a tractor doing strictly highway work. 38,000 or 44,000 on conventional camel back is more common than seeing 34 on an inverted spring. I don't have any information on one being better than the other but there may have been thinking that it could provide a smoother ride. You could weld on new frame sections and add a cross member to your chassis. On a tractor, you are only holding up the tail lights. If you were going to make it into a dump truck, you would have do more extensive work for rail strength.
  11. It does look short but I think it is just the picture. B65 and 67's have shorter hoods and fenders. This appears to have full size fenders and hood.
  12. Thanks for keeping us straight. We almost never go off topic.
  13. Mack Inverted Camelback suspension. 34,000 lbs. rating.
  14. Well Done!
  15. Watts Mack has one but it is a little different and it is for Plainfield and not Allentown. http://www.wattstruckcenter.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=354
  16. I understand your point of view but PACCAR is based in Washington state with world wide subsidiaries.
  17. Thank goodness Obama and the democrats via the EPA haven't put through any regulations that are killing US manufacturing and jobs..... BOTH parties have their hands out for money and are screwing anyone they can.
  18. Morphing into a R model....? Sorry, couldn't resist. Original hood to the truck? Has it been on before and fit OK?
  19. 1955 Mack LTL and 1937 Mack Jr. seen regularly around the northeast at truck shows.
  20. Might be. The paint design is a little different than I recall. The green spokes are not correct for Parker's. So,it may be a Parker's truck with some new paint.
  21. Here is another one made out of polyurethane. http://www.atrobushing.com/item/hm62-64m31/truck-under-hood-components/
