  1. Welcome! Buy the best one you can afford. Rust repair, engine work, transmission repair, etc can all get real expensive really quickly.
  2. I don't recall having to do anything trick on the front engine mount when the 285 HP was put into my B75.
  3. Good looking ride!
  4. OK, I am not sure exactly what he has for spares. Don't believe he has ever thrown something away so there may be one in inventory already.
  5. Saw this on the intraweb. The Hillman collection was auctioned off years ago. Wonder where it is now? http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/05/28/from-the-archives-1915-mack-ab/
  6. Any idea what the serial number might be?
  7. Maybe after some time with the museum folks, the exact number can be figured out. I looked at it for a while but the surface rust has certainly done its magic.
  8. No, it isn't mine. It is owned by a fellow about 45 minutes away. The serial number looks to be AB XXX and it is stamped across the frame horn instead of running lengthwise with the frame rail.
  9. I am not allowed to play with anything that is sharp.
  10. Early Mack AB with just enough rust to make reading the serial number next to impossible.

  12. Must be some sort of jibber jabber....
  13. Nice trucks! Really like the EHU Coors rig.
  14. Why you asking us?
  15. Fine looking iron. The R773 would have left the factory with a Detroit Diesel 8V71 under the hood.
  16. Orange 1928 Wilford, Bucyrus 10-B, Link Belt and Lorain shovels.
  17. Welcome! Several folks here can help with newer trucks issues. I am not one of them because I live in a mechanical world not electronic!
  18. A bearing roll can be done with the crankshaft staying in the block.
  19. OK, That is the one.
  20. G-157 interchanges to WIX 15114 or NAPA FIL 5114. Did you mean that or 5144 from your post?
  21. Hmmm... FWD has a Detroit guy on speed dial?
  22. That would be fun to turn gallons of hydrocarbons into sound and fury! Might have to swing by in conjunction with a visit to Keystone Tractor.
  23. Nice! The plan has started. Pretty handy yard tug to keep it from rolling down the hill.
  24. Probably not going to happen but it would be fun to have a 413 Max Wedge with cross ram induction to play with on the 1/4 mile.
