  1. A Mack tractor is more like it instead of the whopper.
  2. Have a safe trip and remember to drive on the right side of the road!
  3. Looks to me that you brought the stars to the car show!
  4. I would do some investigating before you try and start the engine. See if you can determine what caused the valve to hang up. You might get lucky with lubing the offending valve with PB Blaster or Marvel Mystery Oil and have it pop up. Could be a long shot. Lube the other valve stems while you are at it. Have you contacted the Mack Museum with your VIN? If not, send your number plus a donation and they can send you a package of the info they have on the truck.
  5. Fantastic! How about some details on the hot rod.
  6. Rowdy, you are having too much fun with your dash cam! I don't think there is even enough weight to make the trailer tires get warm.
  7. Did you do something bad and they won't let you play with the big toys anymore?
  8. Looks Fantastic! I don't think for the miles and use that the truck will get there will be any worry about the fuel and lack of lead. More of a concern will be what the ethanol will do to the fuel pump diaphragm and carb gaskets Might want to look into adding some stabilizer or filling with real gas if available in your area. I have seen that style of ashtray in some Mack factory photos so your are good to go there. E models also had an ashtray that could be attached to the drivers door just below the window reveal close the dash.
  9. Sounds like viable equipment for any shop just like the dishwasher is for the kitchen....
  10. Can't even imagine the destruction. Stay safe! Having rain here today and do need some but you need it more.
  11. If your Mack dealer can't help you out, try a good industrial fastener supply company. Ask them for elevator bolts. Elevator bolts will have the "square" but will be available with a low or flat dome in a larger head diameter than conventional carriage bolts. In the US, we have suppliers such as Fastenal, Grainger, McMaster-Carr, etc. but I don't have a name for an industrial house for your area. http://www.mcmaster.com/#elevator-bolts/=ykx8sr The link will give some sizing references. A little bigger than 1 1/8th.
  12. Have you had a chance to look inside to see what sort of gap you have right now?
  13. Ready again for fair and parade duty.
  14. Excellent!
  15. Hmmmmm......more power !
  16. Looks Good! I say have two beers and some pretzels.
  17. Boy, talk about restraint. I was sure you were going to take the bastards out with a couple of sticks of TNT from the garden shed.
  18. Not that I don't trust your erector set but I better stay topside to inspect the bridge deck.
  19. WHAT??? You fixed the truck using hardware store parts? Pretty nice when you don't need a wiring schematic and a scan tool.
  20. Hope you get cooler temps and some rain soon!
  21. I hope it all works out in the end for you. What a cluster!
  22. Some people have tried to pass off a 237 as a 350 in truck ads....
  23. http://www.ctcautoranch.com/Cars/Miscellaneous/Diamond%20T%20Fire%20Truck/Diamond%20T%20Fire%20Truck.html Needs a little love.
  24. Automotive Manufacturers may be able to rebuild your original clutch as an option to consider if you can't find new. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Automotive-Manufacturers/121552434569273
