  1. Don't think Hugh was in York. Pretty sure it was Alex who seems to be the most normal of the bunch.
  2. I understand. It was offered just in case your road trip takes a detour.
  3. Hmmm.... thought everything on tv and the interwebs was the truth. Damn!
  4. That route looks twisty enough to break a snakes back. Thank goodness if have some snow driving experience from the NEK.
  5. I'm standing by with bail money if needed. Good Luck!
  6. I have a little (very little) on the 505 and nothing on the 500. Might have to open it up and start comparing bearing sizes to see what you can do.
  7. How many Brocks showed up this year?
  8. You know where the bars are?
  9. He is down under a little to the right of Australia where people are Kiwi's and it is winter now so the sheilas might be chilly.
  10. An R model getting ready to haul the CAT bulldozer down the road.
  11. It does appear to give good articulation for off road use and the air would smooth out the ride over a conventional spring /walking beam suspension. The rear most track bar will be critical to keep "tight" and will be taking quite a bit of stress. No personal experience with this set up. Just looking at pictures.
  12. It is this weekend and is a fun show. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/41205-brockway-truck-show/
  13. Haha! More like a bad dream.
  14. If the banjo is out of shape and the axle tubes are straight, you may have junk already. That being the case, you could try using a rosebud oxygen/acetylene torch in conjunction with ratchets and chains to try to pull it back into line.
  15. Engine with clutch is probably about 2200 lbs. A 10,000 lbs (5 ton) hoist would be more than capable of engine and trans as a package.
  16. Great looking Truck! Appears to be an LF. Hard to tell the exact year. It does have one piece door glass which would put it earlier than 1950. After that, the trucks had a door glass and a vent window if I remember correctly. It also has the cab back band above the cab vents which seemed to come about in 1945 or so. 1948 sounds good with a range of 1945-50. The LF series was made between 1940-1953
  17. What numbers are you getting from your boost gauge? Any leaks in the cooler or associated plumbing will kill power.
  18. It was from the left coast. Just finished chopping more pictures of it. Frame wood runs a long way on this one!
  19. 1966 Mack B61 tractor 1985 Superliner
  20. Some pictures from the show today. 1942 Mack ED service truck 1946 Mack EH fuel truck 1946 Sterling dump truck
  21. 1953 Sterling 2125 tractor displayed at the Green Mountain Show.
  22. OK. Thanks, I will let him know. He is probably good with what he has. He really would like a flywheel starter and magical adapter kit. Nice that the Armstrong starter only has to be used 2 or 3 times before it hits.
  23. This truck was missing some bits so the primer cups probably came from his parts dept. of mechanical antiquities and castoffs.
  24. That looks like fun! Cute girls and a day at the track, nothing wrong with that. If any more celebrity comes your way, we will have to start calling you Sir.
