  1. Sounds like a plan. That is a little s l o w for the oil pressure.
  2. For what you are doing, it should be ok.
  3. This forum can take the truth. We know how the game is played. There are exporters here but they operate very quietly and respectfully. You might want to think about that.
  4. The block tag is on the right side of the block. It may be tough to see with the truck side panels in place and around the air cleaner assembly. "6" is the series of chassis. "11" is the type of engine originally fitted. Probably a 250-260 hp.
  5. With some B67 mounts, it may fit under the hood of the pickup! Did it have the usual 711 issues?
  6. That is the neighbor that just moved out....
  7. Welcome! We like pictures, even if they are of a fleet of pos's
  8. Some engine detail pictures. The updraft carb is low right next to the front spring. There is an added heat shield to the exhaust manifold. The water pump is mounted on the right front of the engine and the magneto on the left side.
  9. Finally stopped by again to check on the progress today. More sheet metal work so it can get some paint.
  10. Put the 711 in your pickup......?
  11. I usually try to give credit for imagination or skill in fabrication..... but not this time.
  12. Boy, you guys are going to wear out that wrecker. Good Job!
  13. It was around 900 lbs at 1600 rpm. Looked at a F763ST 335 hp that had a TRT 7220 and it was all original equipment from Mack.
  14. Years ago, I had a B833ST with a 335 and quad box. I believe that the 335 was OEM but never checked to be sure. It had the wider radiator than the B81 but it did not have the larger top tank. Pretty sure the trans was a TRQ720.
  15. X was for heavy duty or severe duty. Example. B83SX is a six wheel, heavy duty chassis for dump service or low boy tractor service. B83ST is a six wheel tractor.
  16. Analyzing my current toy budget, they would have to drop two 0's! Sure would like it anyway. Clearly it would be a project but it hasn't been beat to snot.
  17. Sympathy for anyone operating in California.
  18. Well..... That would be about 5 hours each way to IA or 4 1/2 hours each way to MO for Thomas Tractor. Can't think of other midwest BMT representatives at the moment.
  19. Looks like the breed was well represented. Excellent on the scene reporting!
  20. Be great to find a bunch of mechanical engined CH Macks with sleepers to run for reliability. If something broke though, the truck would probably be down for several days because NO ONE keeps parts on hand for repair. With all the BS these days between the EPA and then the "demands" of the drivers wanting to only be in the newest equipment, I don't envy your dilemma.
  21. Since it is a Hummin Cummins and the correct body color, FWD should get a fire body for it.
