  1. Low back would be the way to go in a B cab. The 1980 Superliner was super bright and super short!
  2. Probably metric because they are painted orange.....
  3. Know the feeling. I have done some flat glass work but usually have the glass guy do the curved stuff.
  4. In a way it looks like a European B with the head lights low. The other lights are not arranged the same as the overseas models. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/35488-the-french-mack/?hl=european#entry242942 It would be interesting to know more.
  5. Time to tune up the water tanker for another season.
  6. Unit Crane painted equipment at Macungie.
  7. Don't know if this is still a good number but may be worth a try. From Federal Mogul. http://www.fme-cat.com/CommercialApplication.aspx?brand=FP&make=Mack&model=F&engine=11.0L%20672%20OHV%20Turbo-Diesel%20L6%204.875%22%20Bore%20H/D%20Truck&enginecode=ET%28B%29-673E&prodcat=GASKETS%20-%20INDIVIDUAL
  8. You could get some Meritor hubs. You would have to determine which bearings, seals, etc. you need to match between the new hubs and the front spindles and rear axle stubs. You will also need different brake drums to fit the budd hubs. Plus miscellaneous parts for the conversion. It can be done. $$$ will be spent.
  9. Hope you get full restitution for the damage and down time. "Maybe" the little pukes will learn a lesson if they had to load the trucks using hand shovels.
  10. The tires you need will be 11R22.5 mounted on tubeless rims. It will be a good upgrade to a radial tire. You can retain the existing spokes and you will be in business.
  11. Yeah.... that won't work now will it? Who would ever want more power in a B model????
  12. NOooooo pressure! Lots of room in one inch....
  13. Leave the spokes. Changes can be done with large hand tools and you are back in business. Not familiar with a 23" tube type rims? Maybe you have 24"? There is no tubeless available for 24" but there are tubeless options for a 20" or 22" spoke.
  14. Schwitzer 631GC-5103P2 or Air Research 631GC-5106P6 are numbers I have for a 315. The Air Research says it is the same number for the 285 but Schwitzer says a different number for the 285? Different numbers for the 350. Maybe run your VIN past a good dealer to verify for your application just to be sure.
  15. Looks like another fine day in Iowa!
  16. Looks alright! Do you have plans to work it? 90 weight or 80W-90 G0-H grade for your trans fluid.
  17. Dave Mauro's Mack B-87 was equipped with an automatic from the factory. Something like one of three done that way?
  18. The dealer would have the braided line or any shop that is doing heavy duty truck repair or equipment repair. Fleetpride in Williston, Clark's Truck Center in Jericho or Vermont Mack. You may have some worn parts in the injection pump governor giving you a surging problem.
  19. Yes, 44 on camelback.
  20. Ha! Spelling could be an issue also....
  21. Since you have the build sheet, it should tell you unless you think someone has changed them.
  22. I write my name on my hand with a crayon so I remember who I am. This name tag thingy may work also...?
  23. Excellent! Thanks for posting the B engine paint information.
  24. Call State Line Truck in NH. http://www.statelinetruckservice.com/
