  1. She's got some wheelbase.
  2. Doing a super cleaning on a truck and found that the rubber boot on the R treadle was completely dry rotted. Just pulling the plunger out made the rubber crumble. Probably from China..... Well, that is very nice! It was a brand new PAI treadle assembly just 4 years ago. I called the dealer where I purchased it originally and they could sell me a whole new assembly. I explained how I just needed the boot, everything else was in good condition. No go. I tried a couple of off brand dealers with out any luck. Finally found a boot from my local IH dealer. Fleet-pride now has a rubber boot coming in for me from one of their other stores so I can have a spare. Sort of surprised so many shops didn't have one on hand. I think most people try to keep dirt and crap from hanging the plunger for their BRAKES! Maybe every brand has a different boot? I didn't do any work on a cross reference. So, Bendix 236982N is the part number that worked for me. 1" tall 3/4" top id. approximate 1 1/2" bottom id. app.
  3. That will be a handy combination!
  4. Lots of meat left on the bone with that find!
  5. Maybe? I didn't look to see what the wheel was stamped but it looked like standard Mack spokes with possibly a 13" or 14" rim.
  6. 1984 Mack R model running 425's on the front and singled out 425's on the rear.
  7. That housing combination could be found in various 34,000, 38,000, 40,000 or 44,000 lbs. bogie models. Some were actually set up without a power divider.
  8. Here is a link to a wire diagram for a B61. Odds are someone has done some rewiring on the truck in the lat 50 years. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/MusicVid/wiring_diagram.pdf
  9. Looks Good!
  10. The expansion of shadow government agencies is not good. If the privacy of the government is more important than the privacy of individuals, we will loose. Sadly, we are already headed down the slippery slope....
  11. Nah, keep the mirror and ADD more! Then install the pole.
  12. Hmmm..... I don't know.... It might clash with your drapes.
  13. It was doing site work for a propane fuel depot in southern NH.
  14. 427 powered Mack on 24" rubber.
  15. Remember when Renault brought us Le Car? Yikes!
  16. Page 30-32 may help in your search in the link. http://www.webbwheel.com/severeduty/pdfs/2011Catalog.pdf
  17. A little of the alpha-numeric system was explain to me years ago but I don't really remember exactly. Had something to do with assemblies or grouping of components within the truck? Seemed to make sense. Doesn't matter because Volvo is switching the Mack setup to a straight numeric numbering system so now everyone at the parts counter can be totally confused.
  18. Ha! One more payment... He has made a little money with it over the years!
  19. Keep after 'em!
  20. Nice model kit for Husky fans. Don't understand the ribs on the hood other than the center hinge. Just don't recall seeing them on 361's.
  21. I was starting the search for a rope, tree and a horse....
