  1. Haven't seen side dumping in my part of the world. What are they building? Looks like a big road with a whole lot of nothing around it. Bring the CAT loader back east and drop it off at my house!
  2. The John Montville Mack book indicates the first DM 867 was built in 1971. What is the full VIN for the beast pictured?
  3. Sorry, can't help with the color code. I have had good luck using SEM products painting/dying plastic and vinyl interior parts.
  4. That sucks.
  5. I haven't built anything for a long time so I don't know what is out there. You can check out Pawel's build of a Super and get some great ideas that may help. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/19052-mack-rw-superliner-scale-model/
  6. WoW! 30 years of storage! E Mack model identification E weight rating of truck 12,000 pounds R right hand drive 1S single axle 6639 consecutive number. It was the 5,638 built because Mack starts with 1,001. It was probably powered by a Continental 253 when built
  7. That should keep the Klondike Bars cold.
  8. Here is a link to a previous conversation on this subject. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/38273-gold-dog/?hl=%2Bgold+%2Bdog All B models had chrome dogs whether they were powered by Mack, Cummins or Chrysler.
  9. Mack LTLs used thinner steel frame rails and aluminum cross members and other aluminum components to bring the weight down. LT Light LT Heavy and stronger with more steel.
  10. Your mid 80's R probably is negative ground. May want to just double check for positive or negative ground because it will make a difference with some sending units for proper function.
  11. I wonder if Dollar General has a real estate section to buy bridges and ocean front property?
  12. Some killer models! Really like the LM with the gin poles.
  13. Sad news.
  14. Either one is KooL!
  15. 28 hours??? Are they going be at the Kilt for 18 hours doing some sort of training seminar?
  16. If Yuengling wasn't available south of the Mason Dixon line, there probably would have to be a remake of Smokey and the Bandit.
  17. Stewart Warner did the B model gauges and pretty sure some R as well. Teleflex also made some. Every so often that style graphics gauge shows up on ebay. Summit Racing Equipment is a good place to get SW gauges but I haven't seen that exact face graphics on their site. Some OEM part numbers: 9MT36 fuel neg ground. 3MT35P2 coolant neg ground 70MT31P2 oil pres. 7MT320RP2 air 2" bezel 51MS39 voltmeter
  18. This link will give the sae transmission mounting dimensions and should help narrow done which flywheel housing you are looking for. http://www.depco.com/buyers-resources/sae-housing-and-flywheel-sizes/
  19. Good Job! A little bit of trucking history there.
  20. Van trailers around here are 13' 6" which is about 4.12 meters. All bets are off if you are in Chicago land. The capital of low bridges!
  21. Oh boy!
  22. Locate a dealer for WABCO products. WABCO have made lots of brake chambers for Renault, Mercedes-Benz and other European based truck products.
  23. OK. You were dropping wires for the crane than! 14 ft is a little bit better than here.
