  1. Click on the link below and it will give you all the info on the museum. http://www.macktruckshistoricalmuseum.org/
  2. Good quality bearing grease will work. No need to get fancy. You are not going to be building a lot of heat as long as the bearing is good and adjusted properly.
  3. Lots of the moves pictured have some pretty good height to them with the use of a deck over float. Are the power lines all under ground?
  4. I don't think that I would run it up to 200 lbs. but spin the wheel and tighten it up until you get some pretty good drag. Back it off to the to the next spot in the castle nut. Here is some previous discussion from the other day. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/39715-b-61-front-wheel-bearings/
  5. Looks Good! Too bad that piston won't polish up. That sucks!
  6. Hercules gas engines were used in many Autocar models of that era.
  7. Keep the hammer down!
  8. 100-105 mph using .78 over with a 38-39 inch tire variable.
  9. Yup, might need a permit for that load.
  10. 1939 Ford
  11. CAT 245 parts rig now. Pretty much picked over.
  12. This might help. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/30110-12-speed/?hl=%20air%20%20schematic
  13. There was availability of 510 or 707 overhead valve gassers in the LJ.
  14. Looks like 22.5" on the oem and turns out the remains of the shaker tank is 23". Hmmm....pretty looking tank might cut into the racing budget!
  15. I will measure the cast off oem tanks in the morning but 24" pretty sure is the size. The freightshaker based replacements were the same so that the radius of the side step would match. I think there are 22" tanks out there. I had some old Peterbilt tanks that were 26".
  16. Great scenery and you get to shift left handed!
  17. I need the 220 for digging at my place!
  18. Not a bad way to spend the day!
  19. Don't know anything about them. Might be worth a phone call. https://arms4rim.com/services/service-bureau-scanning/microfilm-scanning/?gclid=CMDUq8TJg8UCFQYQ7Aodlw0A4Q or http://www.scanittoday.com/Microfilm_Scanning.html Can I sign up for a library card?
  20. I am pretty sure the number is 18QX416P2. Same part either side, no metal.
  21. Excellent photo essay, as always! Who needs The Travel Channel?
  22. 200-250 torque with dry threads. If using a 1" gun the spacer ring has probably been bent out of shape and can be causing the slippage or the wrong lug and spacer combination. It isn't lots of fun but changing Daytons only requires hand tools like Joe said.
