Maybe. It is a function of the volume of air needed for the engine. I would probably try it with the original setup and see how it performs. -

Not knowing your operation other than seeing water tankers, I would say keep the R because it will be a solid truck for you. If you have the coin to buy and fix a Superliner, you could get it as a spare! That truck used to be based a little west of you in Danbury.

Welcome! Glad you saved it. I think it would be worth more all together than just parts to a fire guy. It seems to me that when a fire truck is broken apart, the parts loose value because they never quite "fit" other trucks. Even a fairly generic specification fire truck seems to be customized a little for the particular company and therefore it is tough to find a match when selling parts.

Going to update the "otherdog" picture down at the Post Office. Sucks to deal with a tarp and then damage it to boot. Time to get your other one back.
