  1. Always fun to upgrade!
  2. And, that is the important point! My father ran a small group of IH equipment in the late 60's and the line setting ticket was like gold when it came to truck repair. A copy for each truck was on file at the dealer and another set was in the file at his office. No two Internationals were EVER built the same.
  3. A search on the patent number indicates that Mack had a filing date of 9/6/1985. The US Patent Office issued the registration #1,387,477 on 3/25/1986. Couldn't find any info on the date when the new number started going on the trucks.
  4. Found the thread. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/33143-mack-factory-photo-thread/
  5. I like the expanded metal extension idea. Protection and air flow.
  6. Very Nice! Show season will be in comfort.
  7. Nothing better than an easy fix.
  8. I saw the weather for out your way and it does look like it is time to get the floaties out. Where was the rain last year for all the fires?
  9. Interesting info. If it isn't broke you don't need to fix it. Good design can last a long time.
  10. Another link. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/34219-mack-trucks-the-facilities/?hl=allentown
  11. I was looking at some old brochures and as David said, the RM and RD looks to be the same. Mack has both cabs listed as a CA 49.
  12. Depending on gas or diesel and which cab design, he can R and R a SD engine in 13-16 hours.
  13. There will be identifying letters/numbers stamped into a flat located on the left side of the trans about the middle. Take a little degreaser and a small wire brush with you.
  14. 475 HP is never a bad thing.
  15. I can check time with a friend up mine that has done several SD Fords for customers and the quick way is to take the cab off the truck. So much of the newer design puts the engine under the cab, it is tough to pull.
  16. Hopefully this has nothing to do with homemade hot sauce! A couple of days of R and R sounds like a plan.
  17. One vote for keeping the Farr. Air flow is good.
  18. Yeah, that is really beat up. Better send it my way. I will look after it.
  19. Trucker who wears flip flops to work.
  20. Welcome! Midliner info shows up on fleabay ever so often that may help you. If you ever need the pass door mirror bracket, give me a holler.
  21. Only one that "wins" looks to be the tire guy.
  22. A center mount rectangular mirror was available at NAPA last I knew.
  23. That's wild!
  24. American LaFrance Foamite roadster.
