  1. Broken stuff can be really frustrating. Everything made now seems to break way too easily. You are probably sick of opinions BUT I would rebuild the Neway on the Super. There is way to much stuff to go bad or get out of whack on an 8 bag KW.
  2. No, it is a 1533 (33 HP) with SynchroShuttle so there is a clutch, shuttle lever, high and low range with 4 speeds. 8 forward and 8 reverse in total. The blade is a reconfigured 7 ft. Meyers on a Bobcat quick attach plate.
  3. I believe it is parking brake but not 100% sure.
  4. A Brockway 359 tandem is a great chassis and the blonde is nice too.
  5. Some more rear drive pictures.
  6. My snow cleaner upper before going back into the barn on Jan 27, 2015.
  7. Nice! Got the same set up. Went really low buck and used no paint. It has that natural patina of a rusted brake drum. No chance it will ever fall over.
  8. Vin's U model is a Flexi also.
  9. Here is a link to more pictures. It is an interesting truck. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/37529-1929-mack-ac-dual-drive/?hl=%2Bdual+%2Bdrive
  10. Looking under the hood of a 1929 Bulldog.
  11. Excellent to see all that old iron out playing!
  12. Found out that Bill D'Blassio, as well as others, shouldn't pretend that they know what they are talking about. (not surprised) Years ago, we were told it would snow tomorrow on the 6 o'clock news and then again at 11. Went to sleep and then got up to shovel. Now, the weather is hyped like a carnival show. No doubt some areas are getting slapped from this storm.
  13. Come tomorrow, I will be using my toboggan. So there!
  14. That could use a little chrome or billet.....
  15. LIke Swishy said, unloader is not doing it's job. Repair is pretty straight forward. If the problem has been getting worse over a period of time, compressor is just worn out. If it is original in a 1980, you got your moneys worth. Shop around, someone is bound to have your model on sale.
  16. Welcome aboard / back.
  17. Before it became a fire dept tanker, it was a military refueler. Tanks and pumps took up all the space behind the cab.
  18. Welcome! Great picture of the B. Don't know if there would be enough room in the tunnel of an H for a tip turbine. Never had a chance to work on one. If there isn't, than you have to figure where you would put the air to air cooler so you could make the higher HP. A 237 would fit nicely and would give a small boost in HP.
  19. Don't have a Mack # handy but Fleetpride 16743 is a pres. reducing valve. Edit. Mack 20QE2119p2 or PAI 56370 should be the one.
  20. Digging for clams at low tide and they got a Jeep.
  21. How many moles of helium does it take to fill scraper tires.....? Hmmm....maybe I should convert moles to grams.... Boy, that's going to be a lot of helium!
  22. Egads! Removing a natural resource from a river bed? Who would have thunk it....? Don't let the greenies see that.
  23. Revolving door of phantom sales.
  24. If you can't find what you want, pistons can be made by Ross Racing Piston, JE Pistons or Wiseco. You can get the correct wrist pin location, pin diameter, skirt length, etc. for your application. Hastings makes rings for a 5" pistons.
  25. Chain it down....? Just lower the pan and keep it under 90. Gravity still works down under!
