  3. Dumps do better off road with springs or rubber blocks than on air.
  4. The piston displacement is 672. Just to make your head spin, the END 673, ENDLT 673, ENDL 673, ETAZ 673A, ENDT 675, ENDT 676, END 673P, EM6-237 plus a couple more are 672 cubic inches. The END 711 is actually 707 cubic inches.

  21. I remember reading that the service brakes were on the small drive sprockets and the parking/hand brake was on the axle drums. There was a comment that the drivers were more apt to use the hand brake. The reason for that was if there was more slack in one chain than the other it could lead to an uneven initial application to the rear wheels. The hand brake could be adjusted to give a more consistent brake action taking the chains out of the equation. Back in the day when there were fewer flip flop drivers.

  23. It is a 1966 Peterbilt frame and front axle with a 1978 KW cab and 8 bag KW rear suspension. The hood is a modified Superliner with a 400 Cummins for power. Owner/builder is Ben Daniels. Real creative or something special in his coffee mug....?
