  1. The hood brackets/mirrors can be purchased at any good truck stop store as well as NAPA, Fleetpride, Berubes, Iowa 80, etc. Global Truck may be able to help with the power steering. www.globaltrucktraders.com
  2. Randy who...? What is the secret handshake?
  3. I bet while it was screaming, you could also watch the gas gauge going down very quickly! 2 to 3 mpg probably.
  4. That style was used by REO starting about 1940 and going through the war.
  5. GM had a setup where two gas V-6 engines were tied together. Don't know all the details but there was a cab over shown at Macungie with this motor and it looked pretty impressive.
  6. Hey boss, is this trailer still under warranty?
  7. Long ear dog about 5" in size is correct for the B model. They show up on ebay.
  8. I see no reason to leave the house.....
  9. That is an excellent selection of Macks! I think the 1963 B61 is the late Dick Guerrera who started the Golden Age of Trucking Museum. It is a super nice B model!
  10. Well, let's see.... We have played this game before with you. Sooooo, tell us what you need. Engine? Trans? PTO? Rear ends? Ratio? Tractor? Dump? Single axle? Tandem? Tri-axle? There is a world of difference between an R400 Scania with an automatic transmission to a DM897SX with 80,000 rears on a walking beam suspension! WHAT DO YOU NEED? Saying you need two Mack trucks tells us nothing! If you CAN'T give us details, leave us alone. Have a nice day.
  11. The gasket usually retail in the $10-12 in the aftermarket. $38 is whacked out!
  12. Try Mack 16MD23 which crosses over to Donaldson P116891 and Baldwin G25-AF.
  13. There will be a countersuit.
  14. Sounds like a good game plan! Hope you get the Star also.
  15. Don't know why parts guys can't help you out. Gee....their job is to sell parts??? Open up this page and scroll down and there is a conversion link. I didn't try it to see if it works correctly because I don't know all the specs of your truck. http://www.accuridewheelendsolutions.com/products/gunite-wheel-ends-product-search/ Good luck with your swap and pictures please
  16. I will second the above Yup.
  17. Could be the unloader valve in the compressor is messed up or some sort of restriction in the air line to the unloader. There are usually rebuild kits available. If the truck has an AD-9 dryer, there are rebuild kits to tune them up. Are the air tanks blowing pretty clean when the tank valves are opened? Not sure what size hardware you need to bypass without looking at it.
  18. Not easily. The original Stewart Warner/Mack gauges are flash chromed and flash chrome can be crimped without making a mess. Gauge rebuilding shops have special tools that make it look easy without damaging the bezel. Flash chrome can't be done on parts with any pits or imperfections. If there is any rust on them, the will need to be chemically stripped then copper, nickle, and then chrome. All the layers usually don't crimp well. So it is a little bit of a gamble.
  19. Hooray! I will be getting a new truck.
  20. Not the best stuff and not located conveniently. Parts are out there. http://www.ebay.com/itm/B61-Mack-Cab-and-Doors-/331382128347?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d27e9fedb&vxp=mtr
  21. It is too bad the Winfall wimmin are in a coed softball league and the guys are the ones that score...
  22. Yeah, it does look good in the pictures and PA isn't a bad drive....
  23. That Sucks!
  24. Couldn't have been too bad. The Dog isn't even sweating.
  25. Anything he wants! I am looking for one just like it.
