  1. Score! Any idea on the back story of no hours?
  2. Sorry, no info help on tractor use. Know people that like it on dumps.
  3. Why were you bringing your mother in law?
  4. I looked at one many years ago. It was a single frame and the aluminum seemed like it was 1/2" plus thick. It had been on the roads in NH for years and the corrosion from road salt between frame rails and the cross members was insane!
  5. If brown sludge comes out of the wet tank drain, there is oil in the system.
  6. That is some pretty bold lettering! Damn near covered the whole truck.
  7. Yes, it is done for commercial trucks also if the customer was known at the time of the build.
  8. The engine code is stamped into the block in front of the injection pump where the timing gears are located. It will start with ENDT or ETAZ as examples.
  9. Everything will be ok as long as you don't have any surveillance drones lurking about.
  10. You are off the hook...for now. Come to find out, the FAA has grounded me due to my "known associates". Yeah, the FBI is involved too. Hey, the chicken looks Great! The grill isn't a virgin anymore.
  11. Yup, every story will be true......mostly. Will Grandma be there?
  12. The truck or your wife? Sorry, couldn't resist!
  13. The tour was educational and entertaining, as always! What time will the chicken be ready?
  14. Take a look at the cast housing that contains the timing gears ahead of the injection pump. It will be stamped on the top side with ENDT 676, ETAZ 677 for example. That will help narrow it down.
  15. 38MH416P2. Verify application, just in case. Who knows what Volvo's number is for it now.
  16. You are going to have all the toys!
  17. Paul, it sounds like you have a game plan! I am not savvy enough to fully understand 3 D printing but some of the items made using the process are amazing. With good measurements and a well written program, it could be the hot ticket. It may not be cheap but to bring long obsolete parts back could help a number of people.
  18. Paul, keep us posted on what you find. The exchange of information and advice is what keeps the hobby going. I have asked him about making more steering wheels and he might. He wants to do some more research into the rim materials. He is enjoying retirement from his day job in manufacturing but he has a secondary manufacturing business making small parts for the aftermarket auto parts trade. That also is something he is trying to get away from. He has seen many things in his years in manufacturing because everything used to be made in America. He has diverse interest ranging form the Bulldog to a hot rod C-10 and a Ram Air IV GTO conv to play with.
  19. Welcome! Since you like them all, pick a good one and have some fun.
  20. Lots of chain and a headboard, Please.
  21. You have a fine Dog House. Sometimes it is a tough decision to thin the fleet. Wish my budget was a LOT bigger for toys.
  22. During the driver recruitment meeting, there was no mention of having to back up.....?
