  1. Damn!
  2. Hmmmm...... Well...... CAT Combine rebadged Lexion, CAT Challenger rebadged AGCO, CAT trucks rebadged International,..... Does CAT at least make the CAT badges?
  3. CAT also collaborates with AGCO on some of their farm products.
  4. This may help. It is for a commercial truck so there will be some differences for a firetruck but will be a start and give some basics. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/MusicVid/b60_gas_diagram.pdf
  5. Looks like a good way to pick up some Winfall wimmins!
  6. This gives a breakdown of cab, fender and hood differences in the B model line. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/tutorials/article/11-b-model-cab-data/
  7. You want the u joints to line up. Just check it in case someone has taken the shaft apart at the slip joint. The old style yoke with all the bolts "usually" can bolt up any way. Take a look and see if someone stamped marks for putting it back together. If not marked, should be good to go.
  8. He has the wooden windshield frame almost ready and the sheet metal has been cut for the cab. I didn't get all the steering wheel info because he is getting ready to close things up for the winter. It is a project that has giving him fits but he got one good wheel out of the deal and he may try for some more later. He made an aluminum mold and made provision for the wire core to go inside. Then he has come up with some sort of resin that replicates the original type of rubber. The flow rate of the resin is on the low side and therefore leaves a poor finish. He was able to use more product to fill some of the problem areas after the wheel was pulled from the mold. He rigged the mold so that he could pull vacuum on it and that helped a little. The mold may need to be clamped to a vibratory table to get better results or more research into a resin that has better flow characteristics. Several people are after him for wheels but he is stepping away from the project for a little bit to regroup on a plan.
  9. A friend is working on a 1923 Bulldog and he is pretty proud of the restored steering wheel and the remade radiator cap.
  10. (Rpm X tire diameter) divided by (gear ratio X 336) = mph Using your trucks info. (2100 rpm X 40") divided by (4.00 rear ratio X 336) = 62.5 mph
  11. 3.90 64 mph. Not gaining much. 4.00 62 mph. 4.10 61 mph. Not loosing much.
  12. This is one hell of a thread when you can include a shifter monkey, Ronco, the big O-bama and Junior Samples.
  13. I am going to get a reverse kit from Ronco. I was talking to Ron Popeil on the phone and he said his kit will be as well designed as the Ronco Pocket Fisherman or the Chop-O-Matic. But wait, there is more.....
  14. There is a END673E 180 HP (engine code 07). Is your R model a 607? The cast timing gear housing in front of the injection pump will be stamped with END673E as a double check.
  15. Yes it is. Stopped while doing a Sunday drive.
  16. Sounds like you can keep your eye on it still.
  17. Race is done. I took the magic carpet off the battery charger....
  18. A "63" is a Cummins 335.
  19. Looks like a good spot for the grill. It may have been a small move but still probably needed an escort and a permit.
  20. Holy Cow! The mining company is getting a new toy.
  21. Excellent! Nice grain bin. My father had several Loadstars back in the day. His memories of IH aren't so nice.
  22. They should have run a Chrysler Slant 6 as an offset for the cab. Might have sold more that way.
  23. Hopefully, your sales brochure will list all pertinent disclaimers. Hat.....chief engineer.....? Is the shift knob going to be a Rubiks cube?
  24. WTF??? You don't get a reverse gear? What a rip off!
