    I have used a fine brass bristle wire brush to clean items such as that. Used VHT flat black header paint with decent results but the BBQ paint may be the way to go.

    Mr. Grey Shirt probably realized later on that he was involved with a celebrity photo shoot and will brag about it to all his friends. Similar photos are at the Post Office with the heading of "Wanted: Road Rebels".

    Not into Binders but it looks like a "Westcoaster" model with a set back axle. The Westcoasters that I have seen are set forward front axles. Guessing it might be like a 1951-52?
