  1. You could try Alumitank for sumps. https://www.alumitank.com/ Have you run Power Service Bio Kleen in your fuel? Seems to get rid of algae. https://powerservice.com/psp_product/bio-kleen-diesel-fuel-biocide/
  2. The truck behind is the Autocar that belonged to Rick Knox. Think he sold two years ago or so. Don't know where it landed.
  3. Great looking rig! It is Randy Howell's Mack B75 out of GA. Features the Mack CA-31 cab (L model).
  4. Possibility. The green tank hints that it might be. Don't believe I have seen the truck since 2011.
  5. Heavy hauler with a few battle scars.
  6. Going to be an interesting day. https://www.lyonauction.com/auctions/auction/manchester-new-hampshire1
  7. Big dog in its day!

  8. A 1976 Brockway U762TL Detroit V12 race/pulling truck with 800+ HP under the loud pedal.
  9. A little tired but an E model wrecker would be KooL back in service!
  10. Good eyes Maddog! Wouldn't think there would be variation. The tip turbine truck has the second hose on the air cleaner for the warm air intake.
  11. 1978 U model ST tractor with pool ball gear shift knobs at WSG 2014.
  12. Happy Birthday!
  13. Wagons? Why not! Here is a 68 GMC. If it was all black then I would be totally reliving the memory!
  14. That is correct. The trucks are 8' wide not counting the mirrors.
  15. My brain cells kicked in and reminded me that the LJT was a magazine cover truck with a good article from 2004. Took a couple minutes to locate it. Also found another write up on the web. https://www.tenfourmagazine.com/2016/02/old-time-trucks/an-old-mack-comes-home/
  16. The 1950 LJT was sold new out of the Mack Trucks Bridgeport CT factory branch equipped with a 200 NH Cummins and a Mack OD five speed and a 3 speed Brown Lipe auxiliary transmission. The brand new purchase price in 1950 was $10,500. At some point, the truck had the sleeper cab removed and replaced with a L day cab. In the late 90's and early 2000, it was put back as built and restored to new condition.
  17. Here is the ad that was posted on BMT in September.
  18. I have some fun memories of a 1968 GMC short box, 2 wheel drive, straight six and three on the tree. Someday I might try to get another one!
  19. Not in the US. Who knows what someone created in their shop as a custom. A factory 3408 may have happened at Mack in Australia?
  20. Best of luck with the sale and your future plans.
  21. First to the scene in 1924.
  22. I can't say whether the particular one pictured was put together by someone or not. It is a viable setup though. If you wanted an L tractor with an integral sleeper, Mack would sell you one. They sold many of them. Usually see them with a soft nose versus the hard nose radiator show above. Soft nose LJT sleeper. Picture is not the best. Taken in 2006.
  23. Good looking truck in the rigging trade. Designed with suicide doors to help with cab entry/egress.
  24. Many of the bones of the L and H model cabs are the same or similar. So it isn't a real stretch to do. Back in the day, there weren't just one or two L model sleepers made. Mack made several hundred of them. Very few have survived.
