  1. Have a safe trip. Last time I took 84 from Hatcity to Hartford, I thought I was part of a Kamikaze training session.
  2. The red on black looks good!
  3. Welcome! Pictures of Macks and........... almost Anything are appreciated.
  4. Great pictures! It is time to turn the switch OFF for the electro-magnet mounted in the v.....
  5. The R wrecker would be a cool tool to have in the shed.
  6. The C model was developed to get a short BBC (bumper to back of cab) dimension as short as possible to use longer trailers and stay legal where some states were trying to keep truck trailer unit length restricted. The C model was only built for a couple of years as the U model Mack was introduced to fill the need.
  7. That is a Big Hoss.......Big Dog!
  8. Could be a bearing going bad. Trans may be a direct X107 or over X1070. The trans number is on the drivers side of the case. Best to crawl under so you know exactly what trans you have.
  9. Did you give them a brochure for the NIT program at the Kilt?
  10. 2300 rpm = 63 mph. 2400 66 mph.
  11. Using 2100 rpm and a 44" tall tire in direct 4.76, I get about 57-58 mph.
  12. Looks Good! Put a landscape box between the dump body and cab and you will be in business.
  13. What.....? More flour? Are you going to make more pizza dough.....?
  14. That is a NICE E model!
  15. With those ramps and a little speed, you probably can catch a little air time! Then you can fix other stuff...
  16. Buy the brass and any decent chrome shop can plate them in nickel.
  17. Sorry to hear. My condolences to you and your family.
  18. Might have to look into a float tire. A 385 is about 9,000 lbs and a 425 is about 11,000 lbs on a 22.5 rim with a 20" spoke or aluminum 22.5.
  19. Kool Pictures! Glad you stopped in. Any more time off and a search party was going to get started.
  20. You could also use straight grade 30 weight but the 15W-40 will be probably be easier to find. 15W-40 has been used for many years here as the standard "diesel" engine oil. Shell Rotella T or Chevron Delo 400 are a couple of examples. Both have an API service rating of CJ-4. API is American Petroleum Institute. I don't know if that is used in Europe or if there is a information crossover that indicates products to use in diesel engines.
  21. Welcome! Nice looking truck. 15W-40 motor oil would work for you. I believe the oil pan is 19 US quarts but I don't recall how many for the filter.
  22. About 385 miles. Travel time will vary on the application of the loud pedal. Does your tow rig have a Hemi in it?
  23. I thought Hatcity was in charge of the tin foil hats....?
  24. Ebay has manuals from time to time. I am not familiar with a C to know if you have electric, vacuum or air wipers. Should have a knob or switch somewhere.
