  1. Very nice! Always handy to have a spare Mercedes Gelandewagen serve as a work station.
  2. Heartthrob Exhaust may be able to help with that. They could mandrel bend to the radius that you want. http://heartthrobexhaust.com/ http://www.heartthrobexhaust.com/manufacturing,installation,&fabricationservices.html
  3. Nice find! It's going to need some loving.
  4. Is it some sort of metric phone number?
  5. Maybe the detonator box was no good....
  6. I believe that CKDs were just for overseas use.
  7. Heavier duty than the GM. Which motor does it have?
  8. Looks like a nice time. The Mustang is waiting for a motor.
  9. Very nice looking truck! Any idea how much HP loss from not running an aftercooler on the 300?
  10. Leivasy looks like the town you visit when you have to catch up on your quota of watching the grass grow. My kinda place.
  11. Still don't know if it is the official Last One, but the truck in the ad and the red dump truck door both are using the last name of DeChant.
  12. Now, that's a Family Truckster!
  13. Yup, location is on the timing gear cover.
  14. What is the number on the side of the transmission? TRXL107, TRXL1071, TRDL1070, TRTXL1070,...
  15. The bottom end can take a HP increase provided it is checked out to confirm specs. I mistakenly thought you had 900,000 miles and wanted to boost HP. With 300,000 miles, pulling the rod and main bearings will tell you where to go next and it would be good to do with more HP and also check the oil pump.
  16. Truck and trailer are looking good!
  17. That does look pretty good. Maybe a Hahn collector will pick it up. I have seen some equipment used in scrap yards and it would be more humane if they would have been crushed instead.
  18. WoW! Supertrucker....... Guess he didn't find any wires.
  19. don't know about 38? 39 is a NHCT 270
  20. CKD means Complete Knock Down truck. It was a complete truck that was sent somewhere as a big kit and built at the destination. I am not sure on the Forward Control but might be the term for something like a bus chassis where you got the drivetrain and the front sheetmetal with a cowl and a school bus body was then built on it.
  21. The Last One was in the Wooster area. If that is Last, it is looking pretty good with some upgrades and a new coat of paint.
  22. That is a wicked piece! Excellent color and chrome. Too bad it is MIA now.
  23. I will third that motion. At 900,000, you should do it all. If you want a little more hp, you really need to look at the bottom end.
  24. My neighbor shoots squirrels with a bow and arrow and then makes a fine stew out of the pesky varmints. Funny how it taste like chicken....... He could use a gun and no one would notice. My neighbors down the hill shoot guns on a pretty regular basis. When the relatives and friends are invited over it can sound like the Hatfields and McCoys.
  25. The last Mack B model rolled off the assembly line on April 28, 1966. Thankfully, Mack had released excellent replacements in the form of the R, U and DM models prior to to this date. Here is an old ad that claims to be the last unit. I never checked into the number to see what is know about it or its whereabouts. Long live the B model!
