  1. Probably would do better with 425 floats on the front end....?
  2. Yeah.....that doesn't look right....
  3. Excellent! Glad you found it.
  4. I don't have a PPG code. Dupli-Color DE 1604 (Ceramic Universal Engine Gold) is a close match in a spray bomb. Spray a sample piece and a PPG dealer could use their color match "camera" to come up with the paint. Gold is a tough color to match these days because some of the good paint ingredients are not allowed any more.
  5. Nice! It is official now, you have a collection! Check out this site. Type in the trans model and they may have a parts book for you in pdf form which may answer your questions with some pictures. http://www.eprogear.com/manuals/eaton-fuller-pdf-manuals.html
  6. What is this? Some sort of dog and pony show.....? Must be. The side show quota has been filled around here!
  7. It may still have a 711 in it. The Mack replacement engine date is newer than the truck build date. I think the early 711 had the large head bolts in the corners and this one looks to be the same. My "eyeometer" may be off though.
  8. The engine tag says mfg date 8-1977 on it. Some swapping has taken place. The original 711 must have been damaged and they took it out. Check the timing case in front of the injection pump to see what it has for numbers to identify or see if you can clean the tag up some more.
  9. Barton Burch passed away according to WOTS.
  10. White made their own gas engine and LOTS of them! Check out http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/Default.aspx http://www.classicwhitetrucks.com/forum/index.php
  11. Got my racing fix for the weekend! Short track racing is the best. I have been to Pocono, Watkins Glen, Loudon, Charlotte and Daytona five times. I want to get to Richmond and should plan ahead and make a mini vacation so I can check out the Keystone Tractor Museum.
  12. Maybe this could help. http://www2.dana.com/pdf/J300-P4.pdf http://www2.dana.com/pdf/J300-P10.pdf
  13. The wrecker was on CL and I went to look at it. Gas engine fired right up.
  14. B-53's were pretty heavy duty and quite a few found their way to chassis built for cement mixer service. I have seen a couple with fender flares and a couple without the flares. There are a couple of factory photos showing the flares as well.
  15. Cute lil' pup!
  16. Don't say that. It is raining here and I plan on watching the race this afternoon. Ever had one of their famous hot dogs?
  17. I have some 12 spd but no 18 info. There are a bunch of Mack trans manuals for rebuilding on ebay. Might help you out? I rechecked fleabay and the one that I was thinking of isn't listed anymore. There is an in-chassis syncro repair manual. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-In-Chassis-Synchronizer-Removal-Service-Manual-T2080-T2090-2100-2130-T2180-/200963138155?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item2eca56226b&vxp=mtr
  18. See post #4 above. Excessive fan cluch blowby.
  19. If swapping, remember that there are two style of mounts for the longitudinal torque rods between the trunion cross member and the carrier. One has the tie rod taper mount in the top of the carrier with one nut or the style utilizing two bolts to attach to the carrier.
  20. That is the old style Mack B directional switch.
  21. It isn't. The thinking in DC is distorted.
  22. Nice find! It is an early model with a total production of 527 units for model 809. Your example was the 175th unit built.
  23. Hopefully Mama is ok with doing the next few vacations at home since you sent the mistress to a spa. That would be ethereal keeper status!
  24. My shop space is 1600 ft and it is too small. My neighbor just built a 2800 ft barn with 16 ft ceilings and he reported that he should have gone bigger. I have a relative with 5000 ft and it is almost full. Seems to be a trend.... As far as tools, I don't really have anything trick. It is going to depend on what projects you are going to get into.
  25. Glad you saved it!
