  5. That should be left as a survivor. Clean and maintain the truck is all that would be needed.
  6. I don't think it will sell at that price. A Mack Fomon ext. is more rare and last time I knew the Fomon weren't that high. Haven't done anything with fire gear for a day or two now....
  7. Sold some years ago. Wish I had some to sell at THAT price! It will be interesting to see what happens.
  8. IDK. Maybe for city use?
  9. Found some info in a book with a revised date of 1977. END 707 ESI and END 711 ESI had the fire rings. Non ESI didn't. It is interesting that the footnote showing the 711 as export only. Send the 711 out of the country!
  10. Beastly looking tractor! The triple frame is Growing every day.
  11. If everything is adjusted correctly, it should engage the clutch brake in the last inch of travel. My 1992 R model handbook says the clutch brake is NOT to be used going up or down on shifts.
  12. American isn't English either!
  13. I agree on the batteries. Just takes a couple of minutes to disconnect. I also try to put the ground clamp for welding as close as possible to what is being welded. Maybe just an old wives tale?
  14. It would look great in my driveway! I would actually take some of the chrome off like the super long pointy lug nut covers.
  15. Both Rockwell or FABCO axles were also available for steerable drive axles. They don't use the kingpin drive but it is a joint between the spindle and the axle. I don't know when the king pin drive stopped being used.
  16. This you tube clip might be the one you are looking for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHb_0Lhegig Always classic Convoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le2bPRGvKXE
  17. Where the hell are you getting all these monkeys? Watch out if they came from Plum Island!
  18. That's a LOT of product!
  19. No pressure there!
  20. The Montville book says 484 between 1952-57 and 3 of the H613.
  21. Yeah, that's it...!
  22. Maybe we should rig up a taxi cab meter in the K Whop so OD can make extra money. It would be a good way for him to finally pick up some people instead of just slowing down to take their picture. Just a thought...
  23. I have 2 books. Maybe there are more? Mack, A Living Legend of the Highway copyright 1979. Bulldog, The World's Most Famous Truck also copyright 1979.
